Fun fact, not only is this STILL happening, but there is a /mountspecial glitch too where the affected drakes will slide (not step) forward to do the animation, and then slide/snap right back as if rubber banded. See video.
As others noted, rusted/ironbound are not affected.
Iâm glad to see someone else has this issue, but very unhappy to see itâs been reported for months without resolution. My Green Proto Drake has been one of my favorite mounts since back in the day, but itâs currently unusable due to the camera issue. The mismatch it creates between what the brain commands and what it sees on-screen creates a vague motion-sick feeling, and even aside from that itâs just too much of a hassle to try to see around you as youâre flying.
My old proto drakes are also walking as if theyâre skipping and hopping in fast forward. Itâs jarring and looks ridiculous. The Ironbound and Rusted proto drakes still have that wonderful, wings-up, loping walk that perfectly conveyed the conformation of these mounts on the ground.
I donât know why the old drakes would be affected in this way while the newer ones are not, but itâd be nice to at least get an acknowledgement.

I miss my TLPD so much⌠Itâs really jarring to fly it with this bug. I canât believe they havenât fixed this yet since it shouldnât be too difficult.

Still broken! I could serve a lifetime on the Supreme Court in less time than itâs taking you to fix this Blizzard

Today I got the mount âTime Lost Proto-drakeâ, but when using it I see problems with it. He doesnât behave like the other Proto-Drakes I have.
When I mount it, the camera gets very low on the screen and I think thatâs not right.
When using the /mountspecial action, it moves very rarely towards the front and when launching the roar it doesnât sound at all, compared to the other protodracos that move well and have sound.
Please Blizz, repair these mounts we are at the gates of Dragonflight

Why not wait until you can log in to the game and check before bumping it on a patch day?

9.2.5 update looks to have maybe fixed this. Just tested on a few of my Proto Drakes.

You know what, I think so! Itâs at least better. It only moved it down some. Not totally sucked to the bottom.
They still run like weirdos. But Iâm glad theyâre at least flyable now!
Yeah I should have. I was going through notifications and noticed no recent replies and didnât see it in patch notes. Ah well!

I just noticed they seemed to have fixed the camera issues with them, they still glitch out though when using mount special and running. Their takeoff is still bugged too.

I was so happy they fixed flying on my TLPD that I didnât notice that.
They do a little stutter at take off and slide for special. I donât see the bug when running though.
Oh itâs the rapid running. If you ride like galakrond or the iron ones you wonât notice it but the others run like hyper puppies now haha

Ohhh ok I see it. They do run like theyâre on speed.
