Old item restoration

Is there any way to get items restored from a previous expansion? My character has not changed server, nothing large has happened. No name change. But an item J can’t find in my bank is not listed as available for item restoration.

Now I have sever pieces of proof I have had this item-the item being the sourwarped seal of menethil. Logs with me wearing it, etc.

But I got an initial response from my item restoration saying they can’t restore it because they have no proof I had the item?

What is needed for proof beyond logs showing me having the item? Is there anything to be done here?

Blizzard can only restore things that they can prove you had. If it’s not something that was recently deleted that shows up under your item restoration, that is very difficult to show on their side of things as the logs pertaining to our characters are not infinite. Now, if it’s something that was tied to an achievement or something to that effect, that’s a little different.

But if you’ve just got screenshots or logs from a third-party site, those aren’t things that Blizzard can really use. Those things can be altered (not saying that’s what you’ve done or will do - just for the record), so it’s not something they would be able to use. Especially if you’re talking about something from a previous expansion, it’s highly unlike their records go back that far.

gm staff probably can not restore it directly because the logs of what might have happened to it might not exist. Item restore logs do only go back so far if you Sold, DE’d or destroyed this item.

Now, judging by Wowhead, you can still buy this item, and the coin needed it might still be earnable. Not 100% sure, but that might be a best bet if this item is indeed already gone.

Unfortunately I bought this item with my dinar back in Shadowlands, so I have no way to earn further Dinar or purchase it again. The vendor has departed after I bought my 3 items.

Logs for item restoration only go back so far. I don’t know the exact timeframe. But if they can’t see what happened to the item in their logs (sold, DE’d, whatever), then they cannot restore it. Only the server logs matter, having screenshots or whatever doesn’t matter.

Months not years.

Yes, I remember the time frame is months (except for expired mail which is days). I just don’t know exactly how many months/days.

30 days before perma delet.

No I mean, AFTER the 30 days when mail expires, there is a very brief (measured in days) period of time where it’s possible for a GM to restore it. But it’s VERY brief.
