Old Elite Pvp transmogs

Sooner or later Ion and the rest of the devs should consider releasing old pvp elite transmogs to the general player base.

Listen, before you jump on me about this. Yes, I get that with some items like Prestige mounts not everyone should get them. I’m not going to argue with something like that. However, something like old pvp gear isn’t something to get worked up about. Barely any of you wear old Elite Pvp gear. And those that have the titles and ranks don’t have to worry about those being handed out like candy.

So it would be great for (most of) us to be able to collect those appearances with some minimal work. Keep the price at 12 honor tokens, and the weapon sets at 80. Every elite pvp set from shadowlands, if not S1 of Dragonflight and before should be obtainable with just tokens and the work required to get them. I think that’s fair. Nothing else should be offered. No mounts. No titles. Just the armor and weapons that are basically just going to be forgotten by most. And it hurts literally Noone. It affects nothing. For real.

Ion, Devs, I beg you. Think about this.

They already released one Gladiator mount in the freaking trading post, so might as well now imo.

I’m unfamiliar with which one that is, but I’ll take your word for it. Is is the exact mount, or a recolor?

Its a very slight Recolor of the SL mount. A lot complained that it was a lore mount so everyone wanted it. So I’m guessing that might be why they did it, but I wouldn’t of worked so hard for it if I had known that would happen.

I’ll be damned cata elite gets released again… Nice try, but no

Since when? What’s the name of it?

They did do an unarmored version of the glad mounts and tied it to a different version of the Back from Beyond achievement, but unarmored versions of glad mounts were never controversial before, so I don’t see the issue.

Except they didn’t. Lie harder

Armor & mounts? No, but I’d definitely be down with the weapons being revamped and released

I’m so tired of players like this genuinely believing this type of thing should happen.

Blizzard popped the genie out of the bottle by giving casual players an inch in the direction of free (previously earned) loot.

Keep PvP difficult, keep the handouts in the casual / pve areas of the game.

No. Just armor and maybe weapons. I said in the OP no mounts, titles, achievements, or ranks.

All “exclusive” and “prestige” rewards (including, but not limited to: transmogs, mounts, titles) should be widely available three expansions after they were current.

6-7 years is plenty of time to bask in your own past glory.

What? When?

That wasn’t in the Trading Post, it was a reward for the SL meta achievement, which took a pretty significant amount of work to achieve.

Also the glad version has armor, so it’s effectively the same as the old Netherdrakes. Yours is still cooler.

If it’s elite I reckon they should stay as is.

No. Prestigious trophies are trophies for competing at a certain time. No, old PvP sets aren’t going to come back. Time sensitive means time sensitive.

I wear my elite sets all the time. You don’t get to dictate the value of something to me, especially something you haven’t bothered to earn. My elite set means more to me than most items in this game. Get over it.

If they were forgotten by most, you wouldn’t be bothering with this nonsense thread.

People call it prestigious but nothing PvE is really prestigious - most of it is available long after the fact. Just treat it like that. Also, people just buy carries or bot for these “exclusive” rewards which really makes them even more meaningless.

This is a genuinely good idea that could actually be used to encourage people to play PvP. Especially if they used Conquest or a new currency that was primarily earned through rated PvP, it would encourage people into those modes to at least grind for the legacy items. Unfortunately, the PvP forums threw an absolute fit over the idea so Blizzard never went through with it, and has shown no sign of reconsidering due to that.

Lol no.

If they did come back, the vicious saddle system is a good benchmark - X number of wins past glad rank gets you a glad set token.

That’s the only fair and reasonable system I can think of. I’d support this, and I think many PvPers would too.

The fair system would be they are turned into a grind, the same as Mythic sets which are just a straight grind. Not the current sets, the old ones. SL and before, which is legacy content. Quite frankly it’d be a waste of effort to put them above gladiator/legend because you’d get exactly 0 draw from that.

I don’t think it’s crazy for time sensitive rewards for completing time sensitive events to remain time sensitive :woman_shrugging:

I think its crazy to demand rewards/souvenirs from past events from years ago just because you want them really bad lol
