And there’s no reason for them to warehouse functional systems. Them bringing back visions is a win-win.
So you fear missing out on the achievement? And one day missing out on an achievement will cause you to quit WoW?
FoMO is an option, that is the irony. The fear is all in your head. When you let it go, it no longer has control; You no longer miss out on anything.

Bringing old content back with new items to earn and achievements to earn is new content.
And since that content is evergreen and not disappearing with the next major patch, there is no FOMO.

Of course I know what FOMO means. If they are leaving this in, with ALL of the achievements and items accessible going forward, then I have no problem with it.
Can someone point to where they say it will be evergreen content? Or are people just assuming? The achievements us the words “During” which generally means that it is time-limited.
Essentially recycled content with new car smell.
I got the madness title once and I don’t need it again.

I think HV is coming back for good? I don’t see anything about it going away.
None of the Revisited Horrific Vision achievements use the word “during”.

You didn’t specify which content.
My first thought was them attaching housing rewards to old content, including some of the newer “old expansion meta achievements”. Those aren’t really FOMO.
If you’re talking about something time-limited, like perhaps the new iteration of visions?
They’ve already been banished from my mind. Not interested.
If this is true, then I have nothing against horrific visions being brought back. I do think they should return old content as evergreen content. Pure evergreen content, with no FOMO

How is the BFA meta, for example, FOMO? You have literally the entire remaining life of this game to do it . . . or just don’t do it.

This is the thing I don’t get about the “FOMO” complaints.
You don’t have to have the thing being offered. You’ll be fine “missing out.” FOMO is a “you” problem.
Its okay for rewards to be exclusive to time limited events and it’s okay to miss out on those rewards.
I’m so sick of “FOMO”, swear to god.

the generally accepted definition in GD is “if i want it and can’t get it by going back 2 expansions later and soloing it with one button, it’s FOMO”

You have a point.
I joined this game about 17 years into it being out and have probably missed out on a lot. Some of the content I’ve seen in passing at my friends place.
Someone starting today has missed out on probably 100s of cosmetics and mounts that they’ll never know about. Best way to win is to not lose sleep over it i suppose.

That’s not what I’m arguing for.
I’d prefer old stuff to be back in the game, at the same difficulty level that it was originally, approximately. I have actually said this already, in this thread, but I guess you want to ignore stuff and just be reactive
It’s the typical emotional reaction of these forums. It’s not possible to make constructive criticism here without people insulting the person with the constructive criticism. For example, all the people who think I’m losing sleep over this.
Fact is, it’s easy content, I already got the majority of the available stuff from it, and I’ll get the 8 mask achievement next week with the added sanity. WHILE doing that, I can notice issues with the content on an objective level (or even a neutral subjective level)
