No, like the actual movement of the mount. Like you’ll be angling down, and then trying to angle up, but instead of it smoothly following you as you drag your mouse up it will jerk from looking down to like flying perfectly parallel to the ground, and you cant really get any angles in between.
That hasn’t happened to me yet. It should definitely be reported. In the bug report forum I mean.
True, but people should have a choice to use both if they want. I mean what is the point of a playing a MMORPG when choices are taking away or there is a heavy penalty attached?
This is still happening after todays reset. Failed two races. Feels bad.
Yeah, its really annoying. Wish Blizz would fix it.
I posted a video of it here for people who dont get what we’re talking about:
Everytime I turn left or right, while accelerating, my mount just points upward slightly and throws me off course. Really annoying when doing dragon races as it caused me to bump into stuff or miss the ring by an inch sometimes. This happens to me with every mount and every flight form.
Landing does seem to stop it for awhile but it happens with almost every dragon race WQ that I do. I like to do them for gold in my downtime but now I’m just playing a different game entirely cuz of how annoying it is.
Sorry to hear that.
Hopefully it is fixed soon.
An answer on this would be nice
This is the way, the Blizzard way.
If it ain’t broke you better break it.
I went and tried a few races before replying, because my recollection is that I haven’t noticed the handling qualities changing since the patch. With twenty years’ experience in the flight sim business, it seems like something I’d have noticed.
My mount handles about as well as it ever did, so far as I can tell.
Which doesn’t mean that it’s NOT broken in some way or other, it just means that whatever is broken is something that doesn’t affect how I fly.
Ok, sorry, my bad. I made a joke, a dragon got mad, told his friends …
I’ll try to be more sensitive to dragons next time.
Hit it with a hammer until it is
It seems to happen sometimes when I set my mount to “cruise” at a slight angle at medium to high speed.
Well its not a constant thing, it only happens occasionally.
I think it’s one of your camera options.
I don’ have this issue.
I just took a lap around the Broken Isles doing this, trying to get best attitude to keep speed up. I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary.
Now, I do have the long-standing habit of holding down my right mouse button while flying. This may not be something you do.
Side note regarding holding down the right button – something I accidentally discovered one Brewfest about steady flight was that if you hold down your right mouse button, you do not get the squirrelly behavior that you’re supposed to get while completely hammered. Maybe related?
It is fine, when it works. That’s like someone being condescending about cars and the new battery fizzles out. Things happen, it’s great when it works. Dragon/Sky Riding is great. I love it. But this bug is pretty much breaking the entire thing.
