how do they even reach shattrath? i thought the debuff went away once you took a teleport or portal? or does the actual Dark Portal not count and they just infected everything from HFP to Shatt?

Well queueing in Alterac Mountain is prolly an easy way to go about it. Even if it gets griefed, you just walk into the portal to queue there.

This is probably your last week to get any BGs or questing in before wrath launch. Don’t count on being able to make any progress after this week. Plan accordingly.
In my humblest of opinions, this event came too soon. A lot of people are just getting their DKs in order after hitting 70, now the game will be unplayable until launch? How long does this event even last? It would be great if we still had this week to do things so we could enjoy the event and not be frustrated we can’t progress our characters.

The event lasts until 9/13. Then is vanilla scourge invasion + Kara boss.
the plague will only be around until 13Sep according to the schedule. After that it gets more under control and its the scourge part of the event
