Three days with no queue pop. Is there anyone else out there left from the wotlk/cata days?

Those were fun days. 70 twinks were so easy to get into and honestly more enjoyable than end game content (at least in cata for me)

Exp off characters can get into Korrak’s revenge with everyone else right now.
With other 120s and XP-OFF characters mainly I believe, levelers get mostly their own specific queue.

I’ve been hearing these rumors too, but I’m queued with EXP-off with people who are certainly not exp off, unless they locked their exp at 72, 63, ect.
Someone brought it up and sure enough I checked between xpoff and xpon queues. The XP-OFF had all toons who locked exp, and 120s with generally high gear. The XP-ON had all toons who were levelers, and 120s with generally low to medium gear. So it definitely seems like some queue segregation is happening. Who knows they could have changed it recently though.

I had 70 twinks back when they’d let you queue for arenas and get ratings. I think they hotfixed that tho.
They need to remove experience from BGs to revitalize PvP again. BGs should be a break from lvling to test your skills and power. If you want to level just do PvE and if you want to PvP you can Que up and enjoy BGs. It’s a really simple solution to improve PvP and BGs.

I played a male draenei pally at 70 back in Cata, was one of the few who played Ret at 70 and not 72 for access to wings. Character name was Dialogue, though that character is long server xferred/race changed three times over.
A few names from back then always stick out, I remember Gone, male undead rogue, and Hotpockets, female gnome mage, iirc.

In Cataclysm they could, for a time. Blizzard’s been all over the damn place with which levels can play in what bracket. It just wasn’t as feasible to play much higher than 70 due to how the gear worked. For a while it was 70-74 as a bracket, that’s when I played.
I twinked at 70, dk and disc priest. 70s only fought other 70s if they went the twink route. That never waivered all cata, I played it more than lvl 85 stuff because of all that content draught.
I dunno what to tell you, then, I distinctly remember there were folks who levelled up to an extent. Casu was one of the paladins that was at 72 in order to use Wings.
This Wowhead guide states that they were broken up into 4 level brackets, in the section under Battlegrounds.
That’s experience on, when you turned off xp at the previous xpac lvl caps the game treated you like a max level during cata, it’s why arena at 70 was still active and could even earn achievements from arena.
They actually did a lot for the 70 twink and to a lesser extent 60 twinks. Hell they even added a lvl 70 pvp set for dks.
