I think it’s time.
We already have lots of ugly races, and if gender is an issue, just give the Alliance an all female bunny or cat race and be done with it.

Alliance to get Vyrkul then.
Why not both on both sides? I honestly feel all new races going forward should be for both sides and and new customizations can remain with their respective faction/race
As long as Alliance get Murlocs. It is overdue that Alliance get there Murloc friends.
For 19 year i’ve been waiting for playable Murlocs for Alliance.
Horde can have there Ogres.
Alliance/Horde dissolves. Play any stupid retail race you want.
Give it to both.
Nobody will be playing them within a month, though, as they quickly tire of not being able to fit through doors and getting literally murdered by elevators and other elements of the architecture.
Also, Blizzard should force everyone who requested playable Ogres to play nothing else, forever.
No ogres, not ever.
Worgen curse on a big race and a little race, pomsky power!
Man, Ogres are so overrated – and way overused as a scapegoat to giving chumps in the Alliance the coolest stuff beyond comprehension, then yeeting the Ogres over to the Horde as a ‘compromise’.
Literally E V E R Y – Single time, there’s a cool af pitch for a new race peeps are just like:
“Oh give that to Alliance only and just give Horde the Ogres.”
ALLIANCE ONLY: Vrykul, Furbolg, Ethereal, Arakkoa, Saberon, Tortollan, Jinyu, Drakonid, Titanforged Observers (Eg. Algalon from Ulduar), Naga & Dryad.
HORDE: Ogres – But make the blue colour variants of them the Horde can’t access, just in case we want to make them Alliance too.
Additional Feature: "Oh and Silvermoon is removed from the Horde, given to the Alliance, void is removed from void elves through a purification questline and their race & mouse-over is called ‘HIGH ELVES’ from now on "
Ogrezonia is still out there to be a featured expansion.
There was a design for a bunnymen in hearthstone.

…although even I would recommend altering the easter egg theme to Bunny Island if it’s to be explored.
I never understood the obsession with giving the Horde such a bland race. Like I’ve said before, every niche that ogres can fill is already covered by an existing race, much like high elves, so I can definitely see why Blizzard decided to go with goblins instead. And if the argument is “they’re a major Horde race”, then I’d like to point out that the only Horde-aligned clans are the Stonemaul and Dunemaul, the latter of which joined after the Cataclysm and was only relevant for a few quests.
The ogre supporters will also occasionally suggest that the Horde get mok’nathal instead, and during BfA, there was some tinfoil hattery about Blizzard inventing the Kul Tiran rig and using it for Rexxar’s current model because they were planning to use it to give the Horde ogres or mok’nathal as an allied race, never mind that orcs weren’t getting two allied races in one expansion.
Oh yeah, the high elf crowd trying to sneak in this request in a backhanded manner is always a treat. Just one of many cases of people wanting Blizzard to go back in time and handle allied races in a different manner, along with giving the Alliance sethrak and merging allied races and core races together.
Ogres and Murlocs are the same tier.
Hell no.
lmao.
Is never time.
Says the Forsaken.
I say, make a third faction, and call it the Ooglies. Transfer Forsaken to it, and probably Goblins and then create a whole bunch of ugly races such as Ogres and whatever other types the designers can get creative about. Then people who like playing something that would break a mirror on use can go for those.
The Horde has felt slightly off ever since launch. Give us Ogres!
Alliance already has their nasty ugly Warcraft 2 race: gnomes. Give the Horde theirs!
They’re honestly long ogredue.
Hey, I still have feelings.
Just make them the size of Kul’Tirans and a** pull some lore like “they’re an exiled clan of Ogres made up of runts from different clans, who have joined the horde seeking protection from their larger brethren”
I’d play an ogre.
Or a murloc.
Or a gnoll.
Or just about anything that’s been around long enough to actually have some history and nostalgia to it, unlike nearly all the existing allied races.
This is were I see the game going. Being able to play a Orc and walk into a Alliance city with out being attacked. We have over looked our differences enough to work together on a common goal. Time to drop the war.
I firmly agree on the Horde having playable Ogres and if you want Alliance Murlocs I’ll cheer it. Though I think that Murlocs will end up a neutral race. Either from Blizzard making them rival tribes to one another or aligning one of the existing Murlocs tribes with the Alliance, while the Murlocs in the Unshackled become playable.
