Need a fresh server from OCE, played in a US server in SOM from Australia with 200 ping, bad experience! There are a lot of players here in APAC!

Ditto. There has always been some likelihood that fresh start servers would die off, even in the US. And the population on Oceanic servers is fine. It’s comparable to most of the US servers. It’s just not comparable to the few US mega-servers. But then, the mega-servers are a bit of a problem, to be honest. Wouldn’t like to be on them on pre-patch or Wrath Classic launch days.

The single US server isn’t going to be able to handle all the Oceanic players on top of the US players, incoming disaster!

I play on Arugal mate, relax, there will be no fresh OCE, mark my words. We need the pop on arugal
You won’t get the pop on Arugal, most people keen on a fresh start server would rather play on US than join an existing one

And they will xfer back to Arugal when they realise the latest raid on NA ends 4pm AEST
I was really hoping for an fresh oceanic realm. Most likely will unsub at this stage, will see if anything changes in upcoming days.

OCE barely has the players for 3 servers… you think adding another one is a good idea? I get wanting fresh (I am going fresh myself)… but no way OCE gets a 33% player boost with wrath.

The point is it doesn’t need a 33% boost. There are 5 US realms open with <1000 people on them. If they can be justified then so can an OCE Fresh realm.

I don’t know if it has come to that for me. But it’s definitely a possibility.
- I wanted to re-roll Horde, and am unsure whether I could stomach playing on Arugal. It’s a bit of a dumpster fire, to be honest.
- Unsure I can stomach the ~300ms ping on a US Fresh Start server (I’m west coast, and our ping on US servers is even worse than people living in the eastern states).

But this isn’t factually true. The OCE servers are pretty much on par with most US servers… just not with the few US mega-servers.

“We need the pop on Arugal” - why? So you have someone to sell GDKP runs to? Its an absolute sh1t show. Go on LFG chat there and its 95% GDKP runs and having a 50k gold stack is considered the norm.
A new player isnt going to be paying a halfway reasonable price for a darkmoon faire trinket on the AH, they’ll be looking at near 10k because inflation has run so rampant there. But hey its good for you because youre part of the bunch who have acrued a decent gold stack already.
