Because it’s barely an issue and people are acting like the sky is going to fall down over 150ms extra lag. Is OCE anything compared to US / EU numbers? Every time OCE has cried for their own things it comes back to bite us in the bum. Battlegroups case and point

For those of us in Western Australia, it’s definitely more like ~300ms, with the occasional long lag spike. Trust me, I remember what it was like before we got Oceanic servers. It was atrocious playing on NA servers. You couldn’t get interrupts off, and DPS was severely impacted. Either that, or I happened to undergo a miraculous transformation in my playing ability at the same time as we got Oceanic servers, which seems a little coincidental.

I had 200ms ping on SOM, playable but bad experience for PVP with my R14 sp.
Ye, 15 dollars * number of APAC players each month.

My expectations are between 100 - 300ms for Oceanic players on new US Wotlk pve. Will I not play - no. I refuse to miss out on the experience again. Will it be frustrating - yes. But I will still play.
The speeds will be alot better then Classic 18yrs ago at 400 - 800ms for Oceanic players. Alot of players were on dial-up back then

Every time? We cried for years and they eventually gave us OCE located servers, this was objectively a good thing.
One example of a monkey’s paw request doesn’t mean everything we ask for is pointless or likely to end negatively.

What’s your issue for people wanting OCE fresh to help your PvP queues you keep complaining about it doesn’t affect you in any way
Fresh won’t significantly impact OCE pvp queues. Numbers would need to more than double to fix OCE battlegroup. Currently you can’t even get 2s queues unless you play on a specific night. After 10-11pm Sydney time theres no BGs going apart from BG weekend.
Then blizzard should just merge battlegroup with US.
Not decide to just not give us fresh, PvP is a minority of the playerbase
I thought one of the main pillars of your argument for OCE fresh was that it would fix OCE battlegroup? I agree though, they need to remove OCE battlegroup as it’s unplayable currently.
Also the 2 biggest servers on OCE are pvp.
It’s not the main argument, it’s going against your argument for OCE not getting fresh.
There’s no reason for OCE not to get it, and it doesn’t affect you at all if it does only helps your PvP queues I don’t know why you are so against it

I’m not against it, I just doubt they will give us a OCE fresh server and also if they do I think it will die right after the tourists quit in a month or 2.
I’m also disputing those that claim US west servers have unplayable lag and also disputing that progressive servers are destroyed by inflation.
OCE Fresh is the only way I’d return to Classic. Pleeeease Blizz!

I don’t know about others, but I never called the lag unplayable.
It’s just a noticeably degraded experience to me that I’m not interested in after we’ve had much smoother gameplay for almost a decade now.
And I get the arguments about population size, but personally I don’t care. I would rather have the fresh server experience for a short time then have the server die, than not have it at all.
Honestly if Blizzard had just made it clear they weren’t planning OCE fresh servers from the start, there would be a lot less deflated hype right now.
