Tried using the command a few times and no dice last week.
dunno. i use consoleport and it sets it all up for me.
I was talking about official support, not console port and the other ui addon you need.

official support is in. consoleport just sets it up since blizzard couldnt be asked to do more than the bare minimum themselves.
try
/console GamePadEnable 1

feels like blizz messed up the thumbstick zones. see my post here: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/please-allow-customization-of-thumbstick-zones-on-gamepad/975169
and a couple other things. deadzone is much too large. its quite frustrating to get used to it when your thumbstick is just unresponsive for far longer than it should be, and other times its hard to run in a straight line because the zones feel messed up. definitely would fail a field sobriety quest.
if you use consoleport, the initial setup is very short. you no longer need any third party program unless you use an xbox elite controller or something with back paddles. the only program ive found that can rebind controller paddles to keyboard buttons is reWASD.
however you really need to devote a little time to looking at your keybinds in the addon and put some thought into what interface functions you want bound to your controller as well. for example i have my bags, map, camera zoom in/out, character panel, talents and spellbook all keybound to some variant of my start/back/home button
if you dont use consoleport, i have no idea. all i know how to do is turn controller mode on/off. the rest of the setup is beyond me because blizz just put the function in the game and shouldered the rest of it to the consoleport dev,

People say it’s great for farming and ez content.
I wouldn’t advise it for arena tho. lol
