Oct 9 - Hunter Changes will have big Impact on BM and it's viability in all Content

So some changes have been announced in regards to this but they still seem to miss the intended goal. ST is still behind and AoE is still nowhere to be found (to be competitive to other classes and other specs of hunter) despite these additional buffs. As I allready replied to the post of these announcements I will keep it here short and link what I posted.

• Beast Mastery
  • Basilisk Collar damage bonus per damage over time effect reduced to 2%/4% (was 5%/10%).
  • Kill Command damage increased by 18%.
  • All damage dealt increased by 8%.
  • All damage dealt by pets and summons increased by 8%.
    • Developers’ notes: We’ve corrected an issue with the Beast Mastery changes which previously excluded the baseline aura buff for both the Hunter and their pets. We’ve also adjusted the values for the baseline buff up, to better reach our target goals. Our intended tuning change for Beast Mastery is intended to be relatively neutral for single target, while increasing AoE performance, which was behind where it should be.

If the goal is relatively neutral in single target, there is still work that needs to be done to get there. The current numbers as ppl have told allready are still 5% behind what it was in ST and will force us in a less reliable talent (before it was only passive - this is meant by reliable) so the margin % difference will increase if not played optimal around Wild Instinct.

After these changes we are still behind SV and MM in ST Situations and in AoE whooping 35% to MM in a 6T AoE Situation (this will look better in the anniversary patch but till than it is still in the dumpster).

If balancing a spec around ST is the goal - I would appreciate it if it would not be done around the fact that something is a primary target for an external buff (f.e. PI) as it feels extremely awful to be reliant on this in ST Situations. Running Wild Instincts makes this situation even worse as it has a good synergy with PI.
