Still happening on WRA. I got scared because most of my alts on on there. Will be patient and wait for a fix.

Thanks for letting us at least know they are aware of it, I just wish they’d communicate a ‘hey, this is what’s happening’ or at least a rough ETA on when they think it’ll be fixed by to ya to give to us

A rough ETA would be nice, for sure. I don’t mind waiting, but knowing what kind of time window it is would be helpful.

Same thing happened to me. Was doing daily quest and got DC. Was able to log in to other realm alts but nothing characters showing on WRA. So of course I delete cache and WTF folders, guess I should have checked here first.
This is the general process involved:
- “Something” happens.
- Alarms go off! This can take a few different forms. Sometimes the social team (@BlizzardCS on Twitter, those of us here on the forums) will see the player reports first, sometimes our automated tools raise the alarm first.
- We page engineers to take a look.
From there, it gets a bit technical and sometimes proprietary so the details aren’t normally shared for security reasons. But the engineers look at all the moving pieces that help keep World of Warcraft running - there are a lot. Once they identify what is causing the problem, they can move towards correcting it.
Sometimes that is a very quick process, sometimes there is a hardware issue. Sometimes there’s a datacenter issue… I remember a few years ago the HVAC system went offline and things got a bit hot for the servers.
