Does anyone play from on oceanic server to the uS? Does the ping mess anything up? Are there classes that do better in arena?
We oceanic players will be lagging abit or extreme depending upon the enemy team’s realm. As far as i know , i get extremely lag that ping goes up to 1000-10000ms with some NA teams. Some US players do not choose to play with Oceanic. But it isn’t lagging off all time, sometimes it’s only abit lag to play meaning still okay to play. Whenever i open LFG i rarely see oceanic players queuing , most of the time 90% of Queue players are from US. This is because of low pvp population of this game and LFG might become much harder in the near future for some regional realms. Maybe lagging might be problem of our internet connection while playing with or against US teams.
Would you suggest a caster or Hunter to help with any lag issues. I play with LFG a lot and will be moving to that area soon
It used to be really bad in MoP before oce got their own servers, played on average 300ms or so. Healing spheres were delayed. For a spec in which people orb botted to victory, it sucked.
Not sure if it helps, but I tend to let someone else party lead.
Best to play a ranged DPS. You don’t suffer the “I need to get closer” bugs when you’re literally stacked on someone as a melee.
Depends if you connecting to east or west coast. In my own realm my ping averages 30ms, increasing to 200ms with US latency. Very manageable, but Americans lo e to btch about their latency when connected to OCE realms.
Ya that is a good point about melee. I will have to think about class choice
We didn’t invent pizza, gun powder, and the world War victory to lag on some foreign realm. These colors don’t run.
That’s the last time I remember it being like this. We’re on Oceanic (Australia) and although I can be away from the game for months at a time, this (2022) is the first time since MoP or earlier that it’s occurred. 513+ or, if we’re lucky, 456+ in ‘quiet areas’.
Kinda making the game unplayable, except for light questing here and there.
