15 years of game development and process building lead you to a decision such as this?

How the mighty have fallen huh

Is there any chance they will actually revert this? I hate this change so much. how are melee supposed to compete? How is any oce team supposed to compete with us server players? Its not fair.

damn, just wanted to play literally any PVP in TBC without a massive handicap

It’s almost as bad as hance, Good luck ever landing a hit on a caster. 13 years ago atleast I could stealth to them on my rogue, now I can’t even do that.

I got glad multiple times back in the day.

I also refused to play with australian rogues because melee is unplayable at high level with high pings.

How to alienate a good chunk of your player base before even releasing the game.

YEAH… and DW for whatever reason has a shorter range than 2 handers… Soooo LOL good luck hitting anything as DW melee or feral… because “I need to be closer to the target”

BUT IM UP HIS BUM!!

weird, a US player playing the game hosted on US servers not having any lag? What a coincidence!!!
Idiot.

There are large queue times on horde which has been the state of play for the ENTIRE classic duration.

People who played horde do and will have a hard time getting marks putting themselves at a minor disadvantage at level 70 for the first two weeks.

This change puts the entire OCE realm at a disadvantage for the entire TBC expansion. There are multiple spells that are like 400-500ms in cast time.

REVERT THIS CHANGE PLEASE. PING IS A HUGE FACTOR IN MAKING ME WANT TO TRY ARENA AGAIN WITHOUT A MASSIVE DISADVANTAGE.

Gameplay experience vs ‘Rewards’ (at best a mount, at worst a title which is temporary). What decision making process resulted in the conclusion that OCE players would prefer an ‘opportunity’ for greater rewards, rather than a guaranteed minimum standard gameplay experience?

How it feels to play the game matters significantly more than non-guaranteed ‘potential’ rewards.

Not only does this make BGing with friends less enjoyable, but it also means that you will no longer queue into or with any people that you know, and the entire PvP community with our OCE zuggers will be gone.

Aside from BGs, it effectively kills competitive arena for OCE players as there will be no way to compete at high levels.

“A much higher likelihood of Oceanic players being able to meaningfully compete for end-of-season rewards.”

more like a much higher likelihood of more NA players getting end-of-season rewards from farming 300 ping oce players who’ve inflated the pool size KEKW

Knowing Activision they wont revert this.

They dont make mistake guys

Will likely unsub account after 15years if this change goes through. Had intentions to pvp in TBC classic with competitive ping & with experience playing BC arena on 250-300ms, there’s no point. Was a revered decision for Blizzard to give Oceanic region its own servers & this is a backwards step for the community

This is an absolutely horrible change. The difference between 20-30ms and 200-300ms is massive and will make Oceanic arenas so much worse. The lack of consultation on this is pathetic. Please revert ASAP.
