Its a lack of player base that will take part after the first month or 2 that they are probably doing this but that speaks to blizz not keeping their players entertained.
If we’re getting such negative responses during the twilight hours of OCE, imagine the backlash Blizzard is gonna have in the morning.

If I had constant 250ms every day. I would 100% never come back. Thats not a gear disparity thats straight up 1 player USA can cast and 1 OCE cant…

Khlause, you’ve always been logical and fair, I reckon you should go start a nice mega thread for us.
There’s some fantastic examples of the problems this will bring posted in this thread scattered around, we need someone to formulate a nice compiled list of reasonable sound arguments.
For example:

This change needs to be reverted ASAP.
Nobody on OCE asked for this, or asked to lag in bg or arena.
We have a big enough population and will have more players participating in PVP if we stay grouped with OCE only. This NA/OCE merge will end up with less pvp participation, watch.

Ok sure, let me compete with NA players with my 200ping while there is no batching in the game and they have under 50ping. Good logic blizzard, I see you understand this game well.

As a horde player with limited amount of playtime, I fully support this decision. Queue times have been reduced from 1 hour to 20mins on average. It makes BG much more accessible to the casual player who doesn’t have time to wait for an hour for a 10minute BG.

I’m not a PVPer so I can’t verify a lot of the info that might be posted and I think it’s best for voices of the PVP OCE community to take the lead, but If I get a chance I might jump into it.
Given this was posted at 5am on Friday morning, we’ll see if it’s necessary or not. I expect the forums to be a bloody, fiery mess by the end of the day because this announcement is completely unreal. OCE is just waking up and boy are people going to be MAD.

Respectfully, the argument here is about Arena not BG’s - would be nice for you to support the community on this one.
I’m personally okay if they keep us in the NA BG group (though I really don’t think it’s needed once you work out how to queue 3 BG’s at once and get instant pops) - but the Arena side of this argument needs to be reverted immediately.
Ideally let us protest here mate, don’t confuse the subject with your BG view on this.

I do try, I don’t really have any class biases and maybe that helps that I play many classes; also I LOVE video games and want them to be a good as they can be, and as fair as they can be. I accept that Classic games are kinda busted in certain regard, but the changes some of that blizzard made are good, but others are really really bad.
I HOPE ALWAYS that the spirit of changes is to give us the best possible experience, but I often wonder how in touch with the community and the game they really are.
There is no way I would ever want to work for Blizzard… I mean Activision, its just way too toxic, but I have hope that maybe some day they will turn it around before they collapse from mismanagement.

plus they are better than us mostly at PVP anyway XD. Let them play with their own region and have actual competitive games LOL

Also that argument of his is a bit off considering that the time zone difference is so great that when OCE is active NA is basically dead… Not seeing where this change is really gonna improve things for OCE other than punish melee hardcore with lag and laggy players.
If I wanted 180 pings I would just play on Naughty servers for free in the EU that have more accurate game mechanics… (how ironic)

If it’s not going to be reversed then the door should at least swing both ways meaning NA should be queued into BGs/Arenas on the OCE side.
