I’m making this thread because there’s a lot of people having issues with battleground queue times and arena queue times.
I was the person who previously made forum posts when you tried to stealth merge OCE battlegroup into NA and as you’re probably aware a lot of the oceanic community were strongly against this.
We have a healthy player base and want to maintain our own OCE region we don’t want to encourage blizzard or OCE players to further neglect our region for the sake “easy to fix solution”.
Keeping us unmerged while knowing at times there are no battlegrounds or long queues and providing no workable fixes or suggestions and opening no dialogue with the Oceanic community to come to a workable solution shows the lack of respect and care for our region and our community.
There are many solutions to address the issues at times i don’t have all the answers to everything but some of the most basic suggestions would be
1.Implement a system where after being in a bg/arena queue for a certain period of time it enables NA queues but make sure it puts us on which ever is the most optomized for latency which i think is US west ? Correct me if im wrong.
2.Have some kind of system where it hosts matches 1 time on NA then 1 time on OCE back and forth.
3.Simply have an option when there’s not enough players queueing for bg or arena that it enables a NA queue option for players who wish to play NA and don’t mind the lag.
From the start i was never against improving queue times for our region i was against 2 main things
1.Being forced to play everything on NA with un optomized latency
2.The lack of communication and discussion with our region prior to you stealth merging us which shows the lack of respect you have towards OCE region you wouldn’t do this with NA or EU
If anyone can provide better solutions that help both sides whether you are for or against being merged to NA that benefits all of us and our region i would love to hear them furthermore i would love if blizzard would acknowledge there’s a clear issue and show that they care about our community and region enough to actually try to help us find a workable solution that makes the game more enjoyable for everyone.
I’m sorry to inform you that you’re posting this to your fellow players. This particular forum is singular as it’s the only one that no staff comes to. No GMs, no Devs, no QA - no one but our SFAs and they have nothing to do with any of this.
I would advise you make your plea on the PvP forum or General Discussion. Us, as your fellow players, can do nothing at all with it. Customer Support is not Customer Service. The Devs who do make these kinds of decisions though, they do collect their data from the linked forums below.
He tried those earlier and a number of OCE diehards argued against it, I recommended just moving to a US west server (I live in Australia but I play Skyfury now for classic to have the option of PvP queues when I want them).
He wants to be separate except when its hard to queue then he is ok with being shared, not really how the system works which is why his posts on the other forum areas didnt get any traction.
From a coding aspect, this probably isn’t as simple as you make it sound.
But, as others have said, this is the wrong forum to post this in. There are not any Blizzard staff that comes to this particular forum that can help with this and the SFAs that do cannot pass it on to those that can. If you feel like your not getting this into the hands of those you want to read it, you might be better off using the ingame tool to supply feedback. Go to the Game Menu, select Support, and then choose the first option that says “Submit Feedback or Bug Report”.
This is precisely why Blizzard wants that feedback in the correct place. Not only do the Community Managers gather that feedback for the Devs, but they gather the whole conversation. One person suggesting something that many others are against is part of the feedback, as well.
