oceanic players fill a gap for NA players who play during times which usually have fewer active players.
Strange. When we were on US servers and complained about the 250ms latency we were told by the US players to stop whining and get good.
Of course that changed when Bloodlust moved to Sydney and Americans got 250ms latency. Then it became an issue.
They remove the letter u from their pronunciation too, like due becoming do, so they’re indistinguishable. They call petrol gas, they like to add a y to data, basil, oregano, tomato, they remove the l from solder. There are so many more but I’m nauseated already.
It is English. The word itself has a Germanic origin, and quintessentially English people have made good use of it, from Derick and Clive to Ricky Gervais.
Another English term is the Cockney rhyming slang septic tank from Yank. Often septic is used on its own, and the inference is obviously that the contents of both is the same.
OCE is not the problem… now BR…
i actively avoid OCE servers. Anytime I join off a Frostmourne leader server, i get huge ping issues. I press 1 spell and it actually goes off like 2 full seconds later. Def not fun and not something I want to do.
skill issue
2000ms latency to Australia while we get 250ms latency to America.
Sounds like a conspiracy !!
my friend lives in Austria and plays on NA servers. Playing on NA =/= living in NA
Do they complain about latency as much as you ?
the ping itself will come from who the lead is and not who zone in to the dungeon 1st. Also not sure what back water internet people are using. Considering that aussie supposed to have the worst net in the world and I only get at worst 150ms which is next to nothing ping wise.
I join OCE groups whenever I can and deal with the lag.
Nice blokes, those guys. Good attitudes, good players.
I have Spectrum and live in NYC, and am hardlined. I have had 250-300 MS before being grouped with OCE people in solo shuffle. No thanks.
Cause we don’t wanna play with you
i can heal oce groups with no issues…only like 120ish ping playing with frostmourne. ez imo
i only have lag with coilostrasz or whatever OCE realm is
I don’t invite oce because of the lag either. No offense.
I only invite other OCE players because, while yes the ping isn’t an issue, the way Americans complain about it and blame it for their mistakes is one.
People play better on average with 15 ping than with 130 ping?
Is it a hard concept? As with rio and many other factors, it isn’t a definite indicator but it is a controllable variable. If I have the option to control for it without significant cost, why on earth wouldn’t I? There’s no particular benefit to inviting non-oce, and there is an average benefit to inviting oce, so I invite oce.
Doubt all you want. I havent pushed anything seriously because I was still farming trinkets untill my guild needed me to reroll mage.
Here, I bumped priest up to 1758 just for you tonight <3
Wait solo shuffle queues cross-region despite being “rating” content?
That’s pretty stupid, you would have thought after having the queues separated for other rated PvP content for so long they would have just gone with that system, instead of imposing the random bg design.
Yeah, nah, he’s right. There probably is a language barrier. 54% of Americans read at below a 6th grade level unfortunately.
Probably why when we
We still get people who join then complain (and on occasion leave) because they didn’t know it was oce.
