I will work for you for free Blizzard, I promise you that the raid group of people AOEing in Azure Span are bots. You don’t need to go through a process to “verify” that those are not real players.
You hear about the bot problem all the time but when you see 10+ accounts flying in the same pattern doing sharp turns it honestly feels demotivating to do any gathering. Why bother mining / herb to get 100g in mats when the bots just made 10x what you did.
It makes the game feel like its cheap or poorly made

People don’t buy gold from bots much in retail they use the token. Bot just farm mats for buyers in AH

Ok, well what you do think they do with all that gold generated? They can’t keep it there cause they will eventually get banned, can’t trade it to a main, it will get traced back.
Mass botters are doing it 100% to sell gold and it’s naive to think otherwise.

No one buys retail gold they just buy a token. Bots get banned and the gold they make with it.

Methinks it be high time for da law to get involved, mon. What incentive dere be, odda den pleasin’ da playerbase, ta do anyting odda den keep da gold farmin’ to a minimum? Dis way, da executive get da yacht, da players get da bot, but not a lot.
Wot I’m sayin is dis: if ya be having rules dat make for exilin’ the offendas, den ya must act immediately, mon. Oddawise, you be takin’ cash on da sly, sayin’ it be more efficient doin’ a ban wave or some ting. 'Tis almost as scummy as da alliance.
Not claiming to be that knowledgable about it, and most of it I just repeat from other people, but don’t they do it in wave so that botting companies don’t know too quickly what gave them away?

Genuine question: Does botting for gold cause noticeable gold inflation thus impacting the overall player economy in a negative way?
Obviously. It’s gold created off nothing and in a rate that’s much superior to what would normally be achieved, on top of preventing normal player to make a living off of casual gathering.

Yes, that’s one of the main reasons, in addition to being able to ping more accounts using it over time. It lets them fix multiple vulnerabilities at once, creating a larger lapse before bots can roll out again with X program. This is how basically every major company handles large scale bot issues, because it’s a never ending arms race that they’ll always be behind on by the very nature of the issue.

They should shadowban them in a way they won’t know and also not continue to flood the AH with mats. Someone said a shadowbanned auction house for other flagged accounts but that would give it away.
But some bots are blatantly obvious there isn’t even an effort to hide it when there’s a whole raid of them farming. Surely it’s the program that got them caught in a banwave, not because they all make perfect sharp 180 degree turns and land right on top of the ores. Those are the ones that make the most. Go to Azure Span to do the daily today and you will probably see a whole raid aoe tagging mobs.
Blizzard is literally being lazy or making excuses for them, I don’t need to take apart their programming to show they’re a bot.

zaralekk, emerald dream and azure span are dominated by bots on my realm (war mode) iam afraid of killing them tbh they can report you in multiple accounts and blizzard doenst give a f
when u pay to play a game and have fear to kill bots bc blizzard report system is automatic garbage since legion and they dont care is peak for blizzard

People buy gold because wow dev’s make it hard to earn enough gold otherwise. If you are new character would you have the 30k gold required to get your embellishment crafted with aspect crest? Are there ways for new players to earn that kind of gold? Nope, you need to have gold to make it, and questing/dungeons do not give you crap except for exp xD
