(Query): Where are the Horde players who were celebrating before Ion told them no? Where are the thanks for getting something people wanted just because it made sense due to the Sunwell’s properties? For that matter, where are the furious High Elf crowds demanding that this not be allowed?
(Commentary): Well, I for one say, thank you Blizzard for hearing feedback and changing your mind on blue eyes for Blood Elves.

(Commentary): Why, with a new mechanical heart you could pump blood through your body at higher rates, increasing your physical capabilities immensely! Not only that, we could add injection ports for vials that contain all kinds of substances to improve performance! Just think, a direct injection of demon blood or mana potion right to your blood stream!
I am happy. I have both void elves and blood elves. Overall glad we get more customization. I hope they do a similar thing with the nihhtborne that mirrored the blood elves and grant jaldorei skin tones like elisande and perhaps highborne skin tones since the valewalker helped us out and perhaps moonguard would ally more with the Nightborne.
Not to mention we had horde night elves join the horde in BFA as undead.

(Observation): Oddly, just looking at the forums, the angriest posters seem to be Horde posters upset at Void Elves getting fair skin tones.
(Speculative): It’s almost as if Blood Elves getting blue eyes wasn’t a legitimate request for most of the people asking for it, and was just part of some spiteful agenda, and now that it’s come but at a cost, that most of the people who wanted it, aren’t happy because they can’t rub it into other people’s faces.
(Commentary): Which is silly of course, but for all that has been said about the request, I was hoping for some more sincerely happy people. Instead of being joyous over a new eye color, that group seems more incensed that Void Elves are getting fair skin.

I dunno, I am kinda happy that Blood Elves are getting blue eyes. It’s not an option I wanted, but I know my sister will be happy since she likes blue eyed characters (I prefer gold). It does make sense lorewise too, as they start using the Sunwell more and more, and the effects of the Fel crystals that were powering their city wear off, the blue eyes would show again.
Now why blue eyes represent the Arcane magic in this instance and not purple is a topic for another time. I guess cause purple is considered more voidy, I dunno.

I for one am quite pleased with this compromise. However I see a lot unseemly whining and taunting going on. It seems pretty evenly matched between both sides.

I doubt they will, since giving blood elves blue eyes is the only way they’ll get to look like a high elf paladin.

well see it was stated in the lore that blood elves were slowly evolving past the fel bs that was causing them to be so different. what i think is going to happen is blizzard is actually going to finally evolve them past it

(Commentary): On a more serious note, I just was hoping to bring a shred of attention to something players supposedly wanted, and is being dramatically overlooked. I’ve definitely gotten a touch petty since then, but when swimming through threads today of spite, it’s not hard.
well no the alliance started it. they started being all snide that they have high elves now, despite the fact that no they have blue eyed tentacle elves that resemble high elves while horde still gets the real thing. if they are gonna throw shade the horde can throw it back 10x harder and we have lol
