You herd the cats in LFR. That makes the fight way more difficult than just the mechanics.
The guy came in here making obnoxious statements and got called on it (by more than one person), and now you’re trying to school people who pointed out how absurd he was being? get over yourself.
and get good. LFR - even LFR N’zoth, is not hard. Spend 5 minutes watching a video guide and learn to do some very, very basic mechanics, and he will die.
edit:
FOUR minutes
Here’s a comprehensive tank walkthrough
Nerf it!!!
@Annastassi, I read the same opening comments as you did and I didn’t reach the conclusion that the OP thought LFR is at the same level of difficulty as Mythic. There’s no way LFR will be as hard as Mythic. It shouldn’t make sense to anyone. If everything everyone said had to be taken literately then the “The man is as tall as a house” would mean the man is as tall as a house. They teach figure of speech in schools for a reason.
Blizzardwatch wrote an article titled, " N’Zoth in LFR is the literal worst, so here’s a short guide you can link to your raid group as you run back to your corpse" This article does a good job explaining OP’s frustration. It further states that “even with a coordinated raid, it’s easy to wipe on N’Zoth while people are getting used to the mechanics or not paying attention.” Even by LFR standards, NZoth is hard, yet elitists in this forum are making it sound like people are just been unreasonable for pointing out the obvious. That is why I have an issue with a few people on here
LFR Nzoth really needs to be nerfed.
Too many punishing mechanics for an LFR raid especially when compared to the other previous fights.
Paranoia should be removed and loss of sanity should be reduced as well.
I didn’t read the patch note where LFR was made as hard as mythic. Sounds like you’re just not a great player, nor were the people in your raid.
When 25% of the raid can be dead due to failing mechanics and the raid can still succeed… that is LFR easy.
It is the last boss, possibly of the expansion, and released only 2 weeks ago - it will be easier as more people figure out the simple mechanics and get more than 410 ilvl.
I’m not bad. They just made mythic raids too hard.
@Nightpain… this argument again. get off your high horse. I have been doing LFR since it was implement in 2011. Myself including some experts believe LFR Nzoth is the hardest or most punishing LFR Boss yet. Still you and many on this forum keep downplaying OPs point on the difficulty. The funny thing is, I bet all of you guys are hardcore raiders posting here on your alts. If you are a hardcore raider stick to heroic and Mythic raiding and leave LFR to those for whom it was created. I am tired of the it’s too easy/they should get rid of LFR argument as if it is affecting you personally. LFR rewards 430 gears, its time gated, and comes with less achievement. To appease whiners like you Blizzard even created the “Ahead of the curve achievement”. The best way I can describe you hardcore raiders… You are like Harvard graduates upset that lesser universities are offering the same degree. But you forget that a degree from Harvard is more prestigious and valuable.
@Senseilimb, I guess you miss the part where the OP was probably using an hyperbole(a figure of speech) and didn’t mean that statement literally. The irony(another figure of speech) of having the word sense in your name, but making a statement void of common sense is priceless
@Gblade - I used to be a hardcore raider, but now am far more casual than most. I only do LFR on occasion and am by no means on a “high horse”. “Doing LFR since 2011”… ok… so have most people. I’ve been playing this game since vanilla and have certainly been doing LFR since it was released as well, so your credentials as an “LFR expert” are meaningless.
LFR isn’t meant to be a “queue and watch a cinematic for loot” mode - it is meant to be something to challenge casual players and eventually defeat while content is relevant. The boss was just made available to LFR 2 weeks ago and will be relevant content for several more months. By then, the LFR players will have it down easily. Just because some players struggle now, doesn’t mean that Blizzard needs to nerf it to cinematic mode. If you want cinematic mode… go watch netflix. A game is fun because it has a surmountable challenge. The level of difficulty in LFR is low enough that people who don’t have time to participate in organized raids can still clear it (eventually).
There are very few mechanics in LFR… N’Zoth is no exception. The only difference between n’zoth and other encounters is that it requires people to watch a meter and click a button once every 60-90 seconds. Otherwise… DPS what you are supposed to, and don’t stand in bad (pretty much every LFR fight since LFR was released).
You actually got kicked from LFR? Were you afk or just actively trolling?
I agree and people Will learn, eventually. Is it as bad as SoO before the nerfs? I doubt it. As long as there is incentive to run the LFR people will keep doing it and, eventually, people will learn it. It is only a matter of time.
I love N’zoth just the way he is. Don’t it on both my locks. It’s rare that I get to experience the full potential of my dps thanks to the 10 stacks of determination.
@Nightpain, I have been playing Wow since vanilla, and LFR since 2011, if you want to see my LFR credentials you can check Armory. I have over 1000 LFR boss kills. This is my main.
I never said Nzoth should be nerfed, all I want you to do is acknowledge that the OP has a point. I was part of 2 LFR groups that had 10 stacks of determination and still failed to beat it.
Also, you are wrong… LFR is not meant to be difficult. That is just your warped definition of LFR. It is meant to allow casual raiders to experience the raid with low difficulty hence the irrelevant reward, and lack of achievement. Otherwise, based on your logic, Warfronts, Emissary quest, Mythic dungeons, and Horific visions should be more challenging since they provide better rewards. Yet they are not.
No, his (or her) comment wasn’t stupid at all. Yours? Well, that’s debatable.
No, “people” don’t have a legit reason to complain. Literally all they need to do is read the dungeon journal pay a modicum of attention to what they are doing.
LFR is supposed to be easy, and it is. There are like 3 or 4 mechanics in the entire fight, that’s pretty darn easy. How much easier to do they need it to be before their complaints aren’t legit in your opinion? Zone in, watch all bosses fall over from entrance one at a time, turn left and click on loot table?
@Raiyyn, you are part of the problem. Without looking at your Armory, I am going to take a guess and say that you are not a casual raider. All you hardcore raiders all have a condescending tone when you comment on LFR forums. I would never understand why you all feel the need to chime in on a raid that is not made for you.
Anyways, Nightpain’s statement was stupid because it generalized the problem and provided a solution that was aimed at shaming the OP. Blizzwatch’s article is what a helpful answer looks like. First, they acknowledge the problem. That the raid is hard and punishing even for well-coordinated groups, then they offered solutions that could help improve chances of success.
So… I’m going to say you are trolling at this point.
The solution needed for an LFR group to succeed is for people to push the big shiny button on their screen. That’s pretty much it. If they can’t handle that simple mechanic, they don’t deserve to see the end of the raid. It takes more effort to view the ending on youtube than it does to push that one button, so it is possible that some people won’t ever see the ending.
Ok Nightpain… thanks for enlightening me. God forbid that a LFR boss is hard and we unworthy heathens dare to point it out. But don’t stop there, the next time you see a person who is overweight and struggling to lose weight, by your logic, please tell them if you can’t handle going to the gym and eating a few carrots then you don’t deserve to be fit. Oh wait, if you see someone on welfare, please tell them, if you can handle getting a job, then you don’t deserve support from the govt. You are just awesome!
