Slight detour on the discussion, but that explains so much. I couldn’t understand why the tree add just kept doing wtf it wanted to on my side during that phase, but he stood stationary on the Blood DK’s side.

We did a small group heroic nymue last night
2 tank
3 heal
2 ranged
6 melee
After each tank mechanic, (tank runs out to drop puddle) they can go help with 1-2 ranged puddles before they need to taunt again.
We had 1 healer and 1 ranged on each side with the 3rd healer being mid until add phase.
As soon as add phase starts you can ignore puddles cause the boss will clear them.
Seemed okay.

I think the real issue is that blizz has incentivized playing melee too much, so players don’t want to play ranged as much. This results in a natural imbalance when you need more ranged in raids.
Looks like you already know how to “fix” the boss.
