I think itā€™s a fantastic deal. While weā€™re it, how about I give my Taurenā€™s left nut for an additional point?

The storm dust weekly is also a bit much. Twenty dusts.

TO be fair though with the storm dust one, you can cheese that by just doing the wax gathering quest, and turning in the wax to get a chest of dust and you are like close if not over half way there.

Really? I did not know that. Iā€™ve been so holed up in dungeons and delves that I havenā€™t done a deep dive into most of the repeatable quests.

Iā€™m not sure picking up 40-50 dirt piles for 750 gold worth of mats is cheesing anything at all.

Yeah the you can turn in the wax you gather to buy a box of reagents of your choice, the enchanting one gives i think like 10 dust? dont remember exactly. but its a nice way to bank a bit of that kinda stuff

The npc work orders kind of suck too. Just mats lost to the void.

Instantly dropped the Mining weekly on my alts with mining.

Two Null Stones? Nah.

Perhaps when TWW is a former expansion this quest will make sense. Right now, yeah no thanks Blizzard, hard pass. /drop-quest

Im not saying go out of your way to do it, im saying you can do it while you are out doing what ever you do.

Its sort of a pick up a penny every time you see it and after a while you have a dollar kinda thing.

Yeah my eyes did the cartoon bulge out when I saw that too. Ainā€™t no way Iā€™m doing that.

itā€™s 10 piles.

also 10k gold for knowledge is an easy choice. there are patron orders for 900k+ of mats that give you a 75g tip and acuity/kp. no thx bilbo scrubbins

One of the many things I despise about the so called profession revamp. They either want a ton of materials that go for stupid amounts of gold normally and expect you to give away 10k+ gold worth mats for all of 2 points. Like dude if youā€™re going to demand that much you better be giving me 10 points a pop minimum.

Or worse yet is when they give you patron orders where you canā€™t even do half the quests because ā€œoopsie this requires you to make it platinum rank but even with concentration you can only get to gold, so sorry.ā€ or they give you several where you donā€™t even have the recipe yet. If the purpose of patron orders is for me to learn, how the frack am I supposed to learn if I canā€™t do half the quests? The execution of this current system is absolute trash.

As a blacksmith, I currently have 5 patron orders available.

Four require at least 30,000g in my own mats.

One requires a pattern that I donā€™t have.

1/3 blacksmithing orders completed.

Null stones will eventually be more common once more people fill out the right branches of their mining tree, Right now ā€¦ yeah, theyā€™re a bit precious.

As i said in the other thread, those also rotate through out the week, you are not beholden to it.

Another thread that serves as a reminder that for all the gold thatā€™s in WoWā€™s economy, there are still players out there who arenā€™t really a part of it. If youā€™re one of those players, who farms the mats ā€˜for freeā€™ for these quests instead of buying them from the AH (or you canā€™t afford to), just remember that as the goblins say: time is money. And that turning these items in for quests also means you arenā€™t making any gold from selling them, which kinda perpetuates your WoW financial situation.

I do farm them, i dont buy any of my mats from teh AH i farm them, thats WHY im not ok with how stupid this quest is. Its asking for 10k gold worth of material.

That is insane for a quest to ask of anyone.

I also farm my mats. Im currently sitting at 4 imperfects from my farming last week. So I need to hopefully find 6 more this week and instead of selling them for 10k+ gold I give them to blizzard goblins along with 10 bismuth which is the best selling ore atm.

Better than the patron orders crafters have to do for knowledge.
