Now that the Horde has arrived on Khaz Algar and is officially helping the various factions

We learned our lessons in Pandaria when it came to trusting Old God spawned bug people.

Strike them before they have the opportunity to betray us!

Never trusted the Vizier anyways.

The island will be fine in like 3 or 4 generations. The people on itā€¦eh. They shouldā€™ve known better than to settle on a place thatā€™s within Blighting range.

The next generation of rickety Horde Destroyer has an effective range of 1,575 km.

Whatā€™s the distance from Darkshore to Teldrassil?

My headcanon is basically the English Channel, but Iā€™m honestly not sure.

Bonus points if he hands them his own runic mourneblade and they still canā€™t kill him with it.

The Forsaken wonā€™t use the Blight when its going to impact allies asmuch as enemies. Itā€™s not a discriminate weapon and the Nerubians are pretty much mixed up with the Arathians whom the Horde are allied with as well as Horde champions engaged with them. You donā€™t use indiscriminate weapons in such a scenario.

Presumably the Arathi would like to return to, rebuild, and reinhabit that wall rather than it be a blighted wasteland.

The blight is an effective weapon, but you pay its cost in basically rendering the land you use it on as unusable. Unless you get a massive blightbeast from the Shadowlands, which we can apparently just do now. So whatever.

That, and Iā€™m not sure how effective the blight is going to be against a race that can burrow underground pretty much at will.

Those were an iron horde exclusive - do they even show up in any content outside that?

Also tbh I think subfactions other than the forsaken should get to use stuff, if weā€™re going to play that game - a decade should, by all rights, be enough time to rebuild at least some of the golden fleet.

Itā€™s been a while, but iirc there was a Horde Invasion WQ in BFA in Tirigarde Sound where you take control of an Iron Star and roll over Alliance troops.

Yup, was about to post about that quest. Itā€™s one of the Horde invasions of Tiragarde.

The Horde definitely incorporates the Iron Stars by way of the Maghar in game.

I remember this vividly because it was the first quest I did after the maudlin cinematic where Anduin laments how theyā€™ll be sending farmers soon. And that tonal dissonance pretty much sums up BFA.

ā€œWar is Hellā€¦ A Helluvalotta Fun! Role over these thinking, feeling people in this high speed hamster ball of death!ā€

Oh yeah dude and there was a WQ in Zandalar on Alliance side where the Dark Irons had you pilot a fire elemental and I think the requisite goblin body count to complete it was likeā€¦200? It was a lot and it was kind of played for a laugh and it was a really fun quest as long as you didnā€™t love goblins as much as Erevien loves Amani trolls.

It happens a lot where some atrocities are played for laughs and some are 100% serious it was genuinly baffling

Brilliant. Iā€™m sure the Forsaken are just dying for another chance to isolate themselves from the rest of the world, be further treated as outcasts and lepers, and justify hatred and oppression against them. Itā€™s always worked out so well in the past and by the end of the Fourth War they had so much to show for it.

big fat flaming /s on that one.

Theyā€™ll get over it, they always do.

That was genius, and Saurfangā€™s fault.

Just have them be heroic while still being themselves. Isnā€™t hard.

Even Warhammer Fantasy pulled this off by having the decidedly more villainous than the Forsaken Von Carstein Vampire Counts help battle the demonic forces of chaos.

How sick would it be if some Mithrax sized void kaiju stomped out of a portal only to be instantly dive tackled by a flesh colossus that proceeds to beat itā€™s squiddy skull in?

Could even make it emotional by having the mega abomination sacrifice itself in the attempt and we cut to Faranell weeping over this mastercraft like the rancor trainer in Return of the Jedi.

Thatā€™d be dope and thereā€™s a precedent for it given how much Old God/Titan stuff is located in Tirisfal Glades. Maybe in Midnight it wonā€™t just be QT that gets revamped but some love gets shown to Lordaeron that shows a more updated world (likeā€¦idk maybe have Old God cultists set up shop in the old Scarlet zones/dungeons, Stratholme gets updated and is no longer on fire after 40 years, etc).
