Well, classes are worse, the plot somehow also managed to be worse
There is more content, but the classes and azerite system is horrible therefore making the more content into more trash
You donāt just build heat, you control it and can lower it. Thatās way more different than just building then spending.
Got it. You build the heat up to do things. Then you lower the heat to do other things.
You build it. You spend it.

Itās a tad more different, since you can overheat and thatās a good thing. But like I said, one of the simpler class.

I mean. I know you arenāt going to use over the top vague definitions of WoW classes to state they all play exactly the same.
Then expect me to accept very specific outlines of FFXIV classes to show that they are different.
Because that would be just silly.
I feel like the number of full lvl ults isnāt really a good way to measure how good an expac is. Mabye some parts of it can be measured that way, but itās not a good way when judgeing it in total

Iām looking forward to 8.2 and flying finally, and checking out the new Naga areas. Overall, enjoying the storyline up to this point. There is some lull between the patch, I will agree.
WoD was simply dropped like a hot potato by Blizzard and ignored. Not really comparable.

It was not. WoD had nothing to do. This was part of it (looking back).
No world quests. One apexis daily. No m+.
But hey. An entire major patch devoted to the SELFIE camera.
Funny thing is that some races are appalling when using the camera, especially worgen
The only thing I ever used the camera for was for stupid things. Like during the Operator Thogar raid that had the trains? Mid raid Iād camp out on the train track and try to grab a selfie the moment a train was right behind me/about to hit me.
I wouldnāt say the dust has settled on BfA because we still have what? 2 more patches left?
Jury is still out on BfA.
With that said, I managed to get through as much as I possibly could of WoD before school simply became an issue. I just straight up stopped playing BfA, so at the moment, itā already has that going against it for me.
Right but at least in WoD you could level up a fresh toon and jump into raiding and have meaningful progression through the difficulties without having to grind a stupid neck level or end up in this weird mishmash of RNG catch up loot that invalidates most of the content before you can even do it.
WoD was light on content but I was Heroic raiding on 4 toons ā¦ Mythic raiding on 2 ā¦ and doing some form of other raiding (LFR/Normal) on a few others.
Now I log on to my ONE max level alt, see how far behind I am on my neck level, and then log off.

You can still easily do that for all but cutting edge mythic raiding.
Outside of the neck, its much easier to gear up a new alt.
You could argue that the grind is the same in legion, where you had to grind artifact power a lot until a new toon was raid worthy. Also, the reason why bfa has the necklace is because of the artifacts because blizzard knew players would be peeved about losing them.
Look class in wow have mostly 4 buttons rotations. Right now most spender/builders are the same, only dks/spriest/mages/warlock have a tad bit more difference on how they do it. But a lot of their gameplay got wrecked in half.
Dks runes are now simple energy system.
Spriests donāt have shadow orbs anymore. They could have just added insanity to that.
Mages, well arcane was never that interesting to begin with a boring builder system, same with frost due to rely mainly on rng and boring cds, but fire in Legion was a rocket show.
Warlocks, demo actually is interesting right now because itās not too much rng to build soulshard, afflic/destruction still have that problem and can we talk about the tragedy of embers or losing soul swap.
Two more full patches to go in BfA soā¦no, the dust hasnāt really settled at all.
