Now that I'm preraid BIS on main, I went to my lower level alt

People are in Northrend. It has been 8 days since Northrend released. Of course some people aren’t going to be in the older zones right now. I’m not sure what you expected?

i mean that the system is flawed i bet there are people who want to use the new system but when u click and see that its 1 other person looking for a instance most people just say screw it and log off or do something else.

when i say its a MMO i mean there are people who want to do it but give up because it looks like no one is doing it MASS MULTIPLAYER lol just cause 90% of the players are doing something the 10% who arent should be able to play the way they want to not be stuck on some new system that for the most part doesnt work.

sorry for confusion

Plenty of players skipped TBC cause it was trash and are leveling classes for the first time.

Incredibly dishonest to pretend the scene was the same back then as it is now

I think the main issue here is that Blizzard enabled this by selling boosts.

Was our “boosting”/power-levelling as rampant back then as it is today? No, and often we didn’t charge a fee - but you can’t generalize player-caused boosting as a defining issue when it’s been around since the beginning without problem.

LOL that would be me and my friends. the reason why i dont play retail and TBC is cause the game was like a second job not alt friendly i enjoy healing and dps on a alt and not have to worry i didnt spam heroics to feed unlimited artifact power to 1 characters item and now im not good on both

in Wrath u can log on do the raid log off and not worry about falling behind just cause u play more than 1 character

You’re complaining about no one questing in Wetlands on the 2nd week of wrath launch?

Really? People on these forums man lmao.

Maybe. Maybe not. Blizzard has been selling boosts for the past several years now and they have already explained why they are doing it too. Maybe some people don’t want to start from level one and catch up with their friends? Maybe some people don’t mind and want to start from level one?

I’m not arguing against you for clarification. Just stating the facts.

You can when it was barely done back then compared to how it was in classic, you dunce.
Like drinking one soda a month won’t hurt your health but drinking soda every day will.

Through Blizzard’s pillars and their messages they preach, the world SHOULD be alive, regardless of zone.

In Classic, it was to allow people the opportunity to play with their friends immediately. Boosts in Retail (from any expansion) in this case are irrelevant because we’re apparently going down the “Classic feel” route, and boosts are not inline with that… at all.

Human nature dictates that if there an easier route, people generally take that. Case in point, Anti-RDF crowds feeling forced to use RDF because it’s easier.

By offering a 70 boost, Blizzard has effectively wiped the entire 1-70 zones for anyone that can’t afford said boost.

No, you can’t. We power-levelled MANY players throughout Vanilla, TBC, and Lich King. Countless, even. It was happening consistently, all the time, but it wasn’t advertised. You dunce.

It wasn’t done a fraction as much, you’re incredibly ignorant as to how rampant it was in Classic. There were dudes literally paying their bills through selling boosts.
You can’t compare it.

What a shock that 3 years after the release of WoW Classic you aren’t constantly running into people still leveling alts in Wetlands!

Yes, it was. Like I said, it just wasn’t advertised because it was very rare to receive compensation for it.

Nope, I played Classic, I know how much boosting was there.

And people continue to pay their bills through selling gold/items.

You’ve presented a generalized statement - one that blankets all expansions, and by doing so, YOU have brought in Vanilla to the argument.

Ok so like I said, maybe some people don’t want to start from level one and maybe some people want to start from level one. ie: Blizzard provided a boost for those who want to catch up quickly with their friends. In other words the things I said…you agree with. Which is also why I told you that I’m not arguing with you – as I am stating the facts.

Offered is the key word. Boosting is not required. You’re upset because a company offered an option to you? Welcome to capitalism. You do business with other companies who offer you choices. In fact, when you go out to eat or get gas in your car, buy groceries, any business offers you different choices. It is your choice to make.

Blizzard did not wipe anything.

It is an offer. That offer will cost you what? 50 dollars? For 20 dollars more you get more rewards. If you cannot afford the money, then maybe you should look at your budget, or ask for a raise at your employer or find a higher paying job or a combination of the aforementioned.

It seems like you’re just here to argue with everyone who responds.

shocking, but majority of players is not even 80 yet. And nolifers grind grindable stuff at 80. It’s not a time for alts just yet

No, it’s wasnt

This is why the low levels need LFD. It doesn’t help that Blizzard stupidly released new realms, meaning new people go to those, not original realms. This means original realms get no new players unless forced over by queue times.

“Players are focused on Wrath only at the moment. You must wait.”
-It isn’t just for a moment. It is from now on, forever. The old world has already been deserted since crusade. Outland will now forever be deserted as well.

I’m ‘upset’ because if there’s no players in the world (whatever zone you wish to pick) it contradicts Design Pillar #1 - “Nurture and Protect Social Experiences

To retain these experiences, we want to help players build friendships and deepen their relationships within parties, raid teams, guilds, and server communities.

How are players expected to form any kind of relationship/friendship with other people if there’s no one around to quest with or, more importantly, run dungeons with?

“Offering” would be the key word. You’re right, however, that boosting is NOT required. The same thing is true to running dungeons, right? However, we all still do that because it’s part of the game, and lore-wise, we have to. To do this, we need a group of like-minded players in our group, and to accomplish that, we need players in our level ranges.

With Blizzard selling a boost, that negates most people’s incentive to level an alt - why spend time levelling, when we can just pay out $50-$90 for the boost? All the while, people who CAN’T afford the boost, are essentially stuck to playing a single-player game, because there’s no one to group with.

Here in Canada, we pay $64.99 or $99.99 for the upgrade. Believe it or not, not everyone is swimming in disposable income.

“Oh, why don’t you just go get a better-paying job?” LMAO.

I’m not going to argue with you about this because I know it was, because I did it back then.

drooler for one your not even on maladath, dare you to roll on here and see the issues, and yes i’ma snob. last night i’ve kicked maybe 2 people from my group for ninjaing gear they didnt need that the healer could use. for example a mage with hound master’s lokeys staff [ an melee staff mind you], had scorn’s necklace yet wanted to need on a neck that was 27 worse then what he had on , where they a noob? who knows? am i a snob? hell yes when 5 out of 6 paladins i meet don’t have rez.
