Now I See Why People Play Classic

What character boost? Oh you mean your character boost, gotcha.

Each to thier own dawn.

i mean it came with the game lol. if i wanted a good leveling experience i wouldnā€™t do it in retail

Lol, what? Another one? Within 5 minutes? What a forum for :troll:s.

Ya ok, sure. Takes a week to level in Classic playing all day running back and forth with fetch quests.

bit too challenging for you?

You too or did you miss that?

Boring, boring.

yes. yes you are.

they need a few more years of tendie store seasoning.

at some point the voice of the FOMO zealots will be less lol.

Iā€™d see no issue with it right now. It was earned in mostly to the old ways of playing the game. Some of our changesā€¦were needed balanced changes.

Like unholy gargoyle. even having a dk Iā€™d say yeahā€¦that was too much fun. OG wrath got the unedited version lol. Must have been fun times. Classic was a blast.

and for the where were they rants? Some of these players werenā€™t even 10 years old the first go around. they were doing 10 year old things, mystery solved.

you are the epitome of untouched grass LOL

Sounds like a whole boat load of projection there little guy, you b aight.

classic players want gameplay where you afk and auto attack or click one button? gasp.

moving out of a mechanic is not too much to ask.
if you cant be bothered to do it, then idk what you tell you.

classic exists for you already. that way ā†’

RIP Morb builds stacking aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall that haste for that one PEAK gargoyle snapshot. Fun timesā€¦ fun timesā€¦

Holy hell though, making Wrath Classic players understand mechanics was a nightmare. I joined up this really friendly guild that was doing pretty hot for Horde progress on our server, but my god, some of them just couldnā€™t grasp P1 Yogg. Avoiding clouds was too much.

I gotta be honest, sometimes I do too. If thereā€™s one thing I miss from vanilla, I miss some of the old dungeon design. The Anniversary event helped highlight that. I like the short dungeon sieges still - they feel kinetic and snappy, and thereā€™s an exciting energy to that, but back in vanilla, dungeons always felt way more vast to me.

Wailing Caverns, Dire Maul, Mauradon, all are HUGE dungeons compared to what we get today. Now we get the occasional Mega Dungeon every couple of years, and I guess thatā€™s fine, but none of them have made me feel the same way I ever felt when entering BRD for the first time.

I think M+ can be a lot of fun, but I kind of miss the days where dungeons were these vast areas that covered a wide spectrum of levels. BRD and Blackrock Spireā€™s wings all made me feel like the deeper we went, weā€™d have a harder time, especially with an under-leveled party, but thatā€™s why it felt great to have utilities so you could mitigate part of the challenge, almost like it was a puzzle.

ā€˜We can deal with these packs if we CC and then CAREFULLY pull to minimize the incoming damageā€™. Little moments like that, yā€™know? I donā€™t know if we lost that because of dungeons being designed to be tackled as quickly as possible, or if we lost it when we got good enough at the game to blaze through these big dungeons quickly regardless.

While i dont understand the people who claim classic is as hard/harder, i can certainly understand this, as i feel it too.
Dungeons in classic-wrath occupy that space in my brain for imagination And wonder much more so than modern ones.

Old dungeons just feel different, in a good way.

You mean the taunt that has a bug that unless you do it at the right time, something DBM doesnā€™t take into account, Queen is locked in and will murder the tank during the tank swap due to taunt being ineffective? You mean that?

Yeah, not exactly useful.

If you require an auditory reminder to pop the pimple, I can only assume you bought your AOTC. The idea that someone requires an auditory instruction for that mechanic, at least beyond the first few pulls when people are learning the basics of the mechanic, is one of the worst condemnations of a personā€™s object permanence skills I have ever heard of.

Not to mention that the timing of it is entirely dependant on where your pools are located, making it utterly pointless again.

Soā€¦ because I donā€™t rely on voice lines to remember mechanics, and to do 'em, I somehow havenā€™t gotten the AOTC I haveā€¦?

You are a weird individual. Queen has a lot of mechanics, and precisely none of 'em get any clearer or easier with voice lines - most of ā€˜em would kill you (and the raid) if you used those things as ā€œinstructionsā€ rather than ā€œreminders.ā€ Thereā€™s a reason why most decent raiders simply communicate over coms or use minimal sounds-queues (such as the one I mentioned before being a short ā€˜pingā€™) to kill a boss; it gets easier if you simply just learn a bossā€™ mechanics rather than blindly rely on instructions to do it.

If instructions alone were enough, every single boss would be killed after a single explanation from a good raid leader. Soā€¦ yeah. You are just plain weird in the stuff you are saying.

Yeahā€¦standing still doing your target dummy rotation is far superiorā€¦

Going from Retail to Classic feels like you are finally being relieved of a sickness.

As a former Mythic Raider in Shadowlands, someone that has played since 04 and built my account from ground up and consistently got KSM and/or AotC every time, the game is VERY much a joke in terms of difficulty because when it does start to get challenging, people while and complain and say ā€œgame is too hard for normal playersā€ but the reality is that they just donā€™t want to sink the hours into it and want the shortcut cause ā€œI have a familyā€. Yes, family is important and you should absolutely do that and have your priorities straight, but we shouldnā€™t dumb the game down to where the average player that puts 3 hours into it every other day can accidentally achieve things that others had to spend a year to do. QoL and system changes have made the game easier and accessible, which is wonderful, but you dobā€™t ā€œdeserveā€ high level mythic tier gear unless you are clearing that content, period. If you are in favor of a shortcut, then you are in favor of making the game easy which makes it so the vast majority will complete and consume the game insanely fast because it isnā€™t challenging at all for them so achievements that SHOULD take time, take like 2 weeks and then the game dies for 12 weeks getting ready for Season 2 so we can do it all over again

Sounds like a skill issue to me.
