Tbh I don’t mind that it doesn’t fly or that it’s smaller.
I enjoy my bear. I started swapping my yak off my hotbars too.
It’s so nice being able to fit through doorways without having to dismount rofl.

Things flying because “magic” ruins immersion but players running around in wendigo and murlock onesies doesn’t? Maybe those bother you too. 
There are so many silly whimsical things in WoW, it’s hard to believe this mount would break any sort of immersion. Especially since their are far more bigger things that have wrecked immersion over the years.
