Now Available on the Shop: The Trader’s Gilded Brutosaur Mount

You’re denigrating a real, studied phenomena and reducing it down to “victim culture.”

That’s about as “my feelings” as it gets. Maybe you’re too dense to understand that, but given your responses in this thread thus far, I can’t say I’m surprised.

Yup. When you take the ambiguity out of normal people using impaired people as scapegoats, you tend find out this whole ‘FOMO-ception’ is not that deep.

ill pass it isnt a T-Rex mount . I want a purple T-Rex mount instead.

I’m sure the Organization of Armchair Psychologists will appreciate your contribution.

Meh. Their feelings/opinions don’t matter.

I live in the Toronto area and will purchase this mount when I get paid next week.

Glad to see you have at least some amount of self-awareness.

Which happens everyday with too many products to count outside of video games. Should we get rid of everything that some irresponsible adults purchase that they can’t afford? Get ready to go back to living in the stone age.

At some point, people need to realize that outside of a few truly extraordinary circumstances, responsibility for making horrible financial decisions rests solely with the person making those decisions.

If FOMO was such an insidious, manipulative, evil thing and was ‘super effective’, why does everyone in this thread say ‘That’s silly, I’m not buying that.’

It’s only when they open their mouth and insert the stupid: ‘But what about the massive, massive population of amorphous people with impaired mental constitutions that has the money to spend on it?!’ ?

No companies should stop overcharging people and knowingly exploitating vulnerable individuals.

Case in point.

Nobody ever said it was a massive population of amorphous people. That’s your own assertion.

None of this really changes the fact that FOMO is a real psychological issue and has been recognized by organizations far more accomplished and educated on the matter than you have. You’ll have to excuse me if I put more weight into their words than I do your own.

Intelligent people should be able to both acknowledge the person has agency, but they are also preyed apon by an endless cavalcade of companies trying to drain them of every penny.

This is why consumer protections exist, because companies shape our daily interactions often beyond most people’s knowledge or control.

I am DISGUSTED with myself.

On an unrelated note, it seems someone has robbed my warband bank of all my remaining gold. What do I do? :sob:

And their so effective that companies allegedly keep doing it. Wow.

Ah, buyer’s remorse does not exist. You’re simply a victim.

Is that really your takeaway here?

Studies have proven that tobacco causes cancer. I’m sure you’ll tell me now that it’s all fake because people continue to buy cigarettes and companies continue to sell cigarettes?

Get a new bit, my guy.

No, I’m not blaming the companies that sell the cigarettes and label the people that buy them ‘victims’.

Personal accountability and all that.

Who decides what’s overcharging?
