Noticing a trend

It’d have been neat if you noticed something correct. We know there is a new dungeon coming next patch, and there may be a megadungeon coming after that.

If you read my post prior, you’d have read me explaining how the stream of content has remained the same for the last 3 expansions.

I would argue it has even increased, if we really wanted to get into the nuisances of the games design. But at a large scale view, SL, DF and TWW have all had the same amount of dungeons.

In addition, several DF and TWW “dungeons” are just overworld areas with some mobs pasted in.

I like dungeons that actually use the real playable zones. This isn’t a concept introduced in DF. Many dungeons going back many past expansions have done this.

It’s why people need to get over their hate of microtransactions. With those, every time you pay, you get. With a subscription, they’ll just charge the same and give less and less until it’s nothing.

And if massive waves of unsubs hit, they don’t care: They’ll just keep their higher-ups and army of managers and paper-pushers and continue to fire the underpaid people who do the actual work.

Listen to this person! Hit the man where it hurts and cancel your sub! That’s the ONLY WAY they will get the message!

It would be so cool if people read posts beyond the OPs incorrect nonsense, or at least thought for themselves.

All that being said:

Quality > Quantity

Without commenting on the quality of any of these dungeons, I just know that ultimately, QUALITY is all I care about.

So it’s not that SL “only” had 9 dungeons, it’s that ToP was one of them. Quite possibly the worst dungeon in all of Warcraft.

If you gave me 8 bangers, I’d be totally fine with that. Most of the people whining about wanting more dungeons don’t need more dungeons, they need more hobbies. wtf learn to play an instrument. Stop playing WoW 10 hours a day.

Its called shrinkflation.

While I dabbled in Legion a tiny bit - hardly did any dungeons. My WoW Journey really kicked off in DF - and I love old dungeons being in the rotation! >.>

When Nelth’s Lair from Legion was in the rotation is brought back found memories of my time back in the Legion.

Though I can also see why people are made they’ll be doing workshop for a third time (I haven’t done it yet - so I’m hyped >.< hahah)

You mean dungeons we can mount in? I’ll take 5, thanks!

Not just dungeons, raids too! Dazar’alor was one of the most well received in all of modern WoW, as was Siege of Orgrimmar.

Yeesh, no need to yell  name checks out.

People are going to have to do their homework in Mythics regardless, because Mythic bosses and trash have new mechanics. Cycling in older ones makes that burden easier, not harder.

I’ve noticed a lot of reduced content too. What I’ve noticed that is kind of shocking is less capturable battle pets, along with wild critters that seem like they should have been battle pets, but they couldn’t bother to give them movesets.

Return to kara was a mega dungeon…

They explained why we are not getting one this expansion. That it has become too predictable. Personally I am hoping for at least one more regular dungeon to compensate.

“Decade?” BFA and SL were only ~4 years ago, and a bunch of people left during SL for various reasons (e.g. Blizzard’s scandals, FF14 surging at the time, general unhappiness with Torghast/Maw Dailies etc.)

Regarding your gimmick, posting in all-caps is against the Code of Conduct: Welcome! Please read--

The stuff from a decade ago they’re updating, so it still counts as new content. See Grim Batol for example (originally came out in Cataclysm, i.e. 2010.) Sure the maps and some art assets are the same but that’s just smart game design.

They added Follower Dungeons and Dragon flight in DF and they added delves this time around. That more than makes up for two or three dungeons.

As opposed to eye of azshara, seat of the triumvirate, and court of stars?

How many dungeons did Legion have again?
