While it is probably much easier - and financially predictable - to grant a refund rather than a subscription extension, I don’t want the rigamarole of a refund process, just suspend the clock on my 6-month plan.
The weight of this delay shouldn’t fall on the customer, it should fall on you. While I think you are doing the right thing, atm you are doing the right thing on my pocketbook.
There is a blue response to this question in the thread just beneath yours. “I’m afraid we’re unable to place subscriptions or pending game time on hold. If the purchase was recent, we may be able to provide a refund. You’d want to submit a ticket to inquire.”
You pay the subscription to play the game, not to wait on DLC release timeframes. As long as the game was playable for the extent of the time you subscribed for, Blizzard did right by you. I have never heard of any company or establishment that freezes the timer on a provided service when the customer isn’t using it.
I use %0.02 of my phone data per month but I still get charged $60 for it. I don’t get lower rates for less usage, which is precisely why I’m cancelling the phone service. Are they going to refund me for the $300+ I wasted on a service I didn’t use? No.
Or for those not looking for a refund throw us a bone some other way, such as sub time, another free boost, credit in the store … something to encourage us NOT to get a refund.
Yes i saw that, but thats not really on par with offering a refund to those who want it.
Those who pre-ordered who keep it should get something akin to that options if desired.
For not taking the refund.
I dont plan to refund, but since they are not giving us a date as yet throwing us a bone wouldnt hurt them to keep those sales.
Actually, it wasn’t vague at all. It was on or before December 31, 2020. That’s pretty specific. And as disappointing as this delay is, it’s still looking like they’re going to be right on that original target. (In fact, I recall people scoffing at me when I’d offer that as the official expansion date information; I guess I’ll end up being pretty on the nose).
We do not have the ability to pause a subscription as our system was never intended to allow for something like that. There are specific situations in which we may be able to help, but those are extremely conditional and not at all guaranteed.
You would want to submit a ticket and inquire, Maybeshewill.
This would be feedback for the general discussion forum. CS doesn’t make policy changes like that.
On the plus side we now have a date for the prepatch, and will have time to reset the UI, update mods, get used to class changes, and work on new characters through the levelling changes coming with that patch.
