Blizzard recently removed the requirement for the bugged Umbral Amalgam from the Khaz Algar Safari Achievement. This meant I received the achievement upon logging into the game after the 11.0.7 patch. However, the achievement did not grant the listed Waxwick pet reward, which was the entire point of fixing the achievement. Please award my pet. As it is account wide, there is no way to re-do this achievement on another character.

Same here. I was hoping it would of been fixed up this past Tuesday.

FYI this is no longer bugged, as 11.0.7 also made adjustments to it (though the designer behind it doesnât believe it was ever bugged, though we all know it used to be able to appear as a backline pet). There are now a few guaranteed spawns in each Beledar dark cycle.

I had captured all the pets for Khaz Algar Safari except Umbral Amalgamation (since the spawn was bugged after DST hit). When the achievement was patched I received the achievement completion without Umbral Amalg. However, I did not receive the Waxwick pet award from it. My bags were not full.
I have since captured the Umbral Amalgamation. Still no Waxwick received.
I opened a ticket and was told to submit a bug report and post on the forums. So here we are.

Just got the umbral amalgam and completed the safari⌠no waxwick
Same here. Achieve is fixed re: spawning Umbral Amalgam⌠but no Waxwick even after reset.

I completed Khaz Algar Safari on December 17, 2024 after they removed the Umbral Amalgamation from the list of battle pets. But then on December 20, 2024 Blizzard issued a Hotfix â December 20, 2024 â Achievements â Khaz Algar Safari now awards Waxwick as intended. â I didnât receive Waxwick. However, I did get the Umbral Amalgamation.
I also submitted a bug report but not sure if this will change anything.

It apparently is still part of the achievement. It was the only one I was lacking and the achievement popped when I got him yesterday. The only wierd thing was that the achievement didnât show up on the âsummaryâ. I did NOT get Waxwick.
Waxwick still not received =/
I have the Khaz Algar Safari achievement, but it did not reward the pet Waxwick. Ironically, I found an Umbral Amalgam today, but I already had credit for the achievement since that criterion had been removed in the last patch. However, I am still missing my Waxwick! As it is account-wide, I can only wait for you to fix it and not pursue it on an alt.

They fixed Slim to be awarded retroactively. I got Slim but not Waxwick upon logging in for 11.0.7. Still waiting for Waxwick!
Ironically, I just tamed an Umbral Amalgam today, so I would have received Waxwick if they had not bugged the achievement by removing that criterion, lol.
They donât seem the least bit worried about it, or about fixing it. I donât think it would be that hard of a fix. They just have to want to do it.

So far they donât seem very interested in fixing it.
Par for the course, really. Something is broken. Blizzard says itâs not broken. Then they do something to fix what they said wasnât broken. Then they break something else. lol. Look, Blizzard. Itâs fairly simple. Pay someone some overtime and get them to skip lunch, and just search the database for people have the achievement for Khaz Algar Safari but donât have the Waxwick pet among their pets. Send those people the Waxwick pet. They put in the work, they deserve the reward.
And if Khaz Algar Safari is working properly now and people who are finishing it now, after umbral amalgam was removed, are getting the Waxwick pet, then that aspect of it is solved. All you have to do is make good for the people who got the achievement without getting the pet. How hard could that be?

This is the second comment Iâve seen that they removed the Umbral Amalgam from the requirements⌠I did not get the achievement until I got him the other day.
I also did not get the Waxwick and I did not get the achievement until I found an Umbral
Amalgam a few days ago.
I also did not get the pet. Would be nice if they got their act together and awarded it those they screwed it up for.
