Has anyone ever NOT received a Satchel of Cooperation after finishing a instance from the LFR or LFG tab when a bonus had been offered for your role when you joined?
I am so disappointed to find out what Blizzard really thinks of us.
I was told on 2 tickets for 2 recent occasions that I did not get a satchel because the logs had been checked for the time I opened my ticket and the offer was not available at that time. I could not understand why the logs at the time I reported the problem would have ANY bearing on what happened to me. I would think it would be more logical to check the logs when I joined for the promised bonus; I was sure they would support my screenshot of being in the instance with the bonus showing as active. I took a screenshot of that because the last LFR I ran ended the same way, with no bonus and no proof.
Besides, I don’t open a ticket until I know something is wrong. How could I open a ticket at the end of my raid if I have to wait to see if the postmaster sends it to me like the postmaster has done before, then I have to take the time to go through the maze to open the ticket, and then write it, then usually after submitting it find out there was a problem receiving it, and then usually have to start all over again writing it because you cannot copy and paste anything to be submitted on an in-game ticket. It takes me so long to write something that I wish I could write it and THEN navigate to the part where I open the ticket, paste it, and submit.
In my mind, once you have completed all the things that it seems are programmed in to get you to give up, it could be an hour since you ran your raid or group!
I was finally told if anyone from the original party leaves the group during the run, the satchel is no longer available!
After reopening the ticket to question this, the second and last GM that answered my last ticket explained:
"In regards to the reward being unavailable when the party changes this has been the case for many years. While this is working as intended I can understand how this is confusing and I do think you bring some important details to the discussion.
"The best place to share your feedback are on our forums. You may find other players with similar experiences and from there the devs can compile the feedback and see how it is affecting the community as a whole. https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/ "
So here I am to “share [my] feedback”. I hope on the correct forum!
When the offer for additional bonuses comes up for certain roles that are not participating in LFR or LFG, it does NOT say that it is available to me if 2 things occur: I join as a healer and all the original players finish the instance. Then, and only then, I will get a bonus.
It says if I am a healer and I join I will get a bonus.
I believe this feature was originally explained as being added to get certain roles to join when players are waiting to form a group or raid but those roles are missing. It was supposed to be an incentive to help others play.
It is not an incentive, it is a TRICK.
You promise me a bonus for my participation but it is coded in a way to let you renege on that promise. A promise that costs you nothing!
It is meant to get needed roles to join so others get to play and, once you get started, if someone leaves that group or is disconnected from the group that you, and you alone, made happen - it does not matter; you are NOT getting a bonus because you have already served your purpose.
Is that what you really think of us?
The bonus satchel is nothing to you but code? Why would you cheat someone out of something that has no value or cost to you?
Personally, I would prefer you either label the bonus what it really is (contingent on the original group finishing the instance) or it was a Call to Arms for help and nothing more, rather than a LIE that you will be rewarded for your participation. Do you really have so little faith in and respect for the community that you think so poorly of us and feel that you must lie to get help?
I am so disappointed to find out what you really think of us.
I would like to make one more comment on this before leaving this feedback submission.
I also question the part about the GM’s answer where this system has been in effect for years.
I SINCERELY doubt that the reason I have not had this problem more often is because I have been surprisingly lucky for years. I am not generally that lucky.
Players come and go from LFR raids all the time. They get to the stage where the raid is about to do the boss they have already done when they joined their previous LFR to replace a player that left or got disconnected. That is when they leave because the rest of the bosses have no loot for them and there is no reason for them to stay.
Besides, I have evidence when the raid is placed in the queue.
Most obvious, you get a raid notice when you are queued. I believe I have been in more raids that have periodically been queued for replacements than not needed any replacements…
As a healer, I am constantly reminded when we lose people from disconnects or leaving. I am told the difference between out of range and gone.
More importantly, I make friends when I am in an LFR. This situation reminds me of one in particular.
We chatted when the tank did something really stupid.
We continued to chat back and forth and became RL friends during down times when we were queued to replace players.
She said goodbye right before she left and explained she had reached the point where she had joined the last LFR for that instance so there was no more loot for her.
She left and the leader opened the group finder AGAIN,.
After the raid was over, I had a new friend and a Satchel of Cooperation.
It will be difficult to convince me that this unfair system has been in effect for years.
Even without this personal experience to contradict what I was told, this system you now have IS WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS.
I hope more people comment about it.
