Just to place this here from the other thread that this OP responded to in GD, so that anyone who finds this thread can see, the OP copy/pasted the GM response he was given on this subject from a few years ago:

I was finally told if anyone from the original party leaves the group during the run, the satchel is no longer available!
After reopening the ticket to question this, the second and last GM that answered my last ticket explained:
"In regards to the reward being unavailable when the party changes this has been the case for many years.
