Kinda weird to ask people for sources when you literally just implied RDF is coming because the patch is 3.4.0. Where was the source for that?

The didnt say it was a mistake, they said they wanted to preserve the rdf-less playstyle classic players enjoyed through tbc and keep the game different from retail.
If you think a business makes decisions based off the ramblings of people that are 2-3x more likely to be upset than satisfied customers over the data they gather from scientific polls then that shows me you work a menial job or are unemployed.
Never agreed with no changes. i wanted Dualspecc and fixed class balance from jump. im very glad they moved away from that

Yeah the 900+ other changes had nothing to do with it.
It sounds like maybe you’re new to WoW or Blizzard with these things, but it’s OK…maybe you’re a new player. If you’ve been around for a while, you would know that this is the MO for Blizzard.
There is a big issue with the game and the playerbase is upset. They complain and complain and complain and eventually Blizzard makes a change and then everybody says “look they are listening to us.” Happens like clockwork and it will happen here as well.
RDF will bring happiness to all.

I even included the timestamp. They said it doesn’t fit with the classic player base and was the first step to eroding the social fabric of the game.
Tell me, what context provides “eroding social fabric” to not be a mistake.
Not on a mega server. That amount of people you can still be toxic af and get groups.

Nope. this isnt a ripcord. They have a playerbase playing the game with no rdf and thats why they dont wanna change it.
If we do, it will be because they can put off launching it in phase 1 and players like me wont care, because it no longer is a part of progression. This is actually the smartest thing to do in this regard

Everyone on here talking about “content drought” in WOTLK must have never actually played WOTLK while it was relevant. I did, and the game/expansion was such a delight back then, that I never even realized nor cared about a “content drought” or how long in between patches things took.
Looking back at it and dissecting how long it took for “X” .5 or .0 patch to come out is such a modern WoW mindset, I can guarantee you that the overwhelming majority of people back then weren’t even looking at it in that light.
Raids took longer for the average guild to clear, content lasted longer for the 99%, it was a different game back then. So much arguing over something that really, retrospectively never mattered in the moment at all. Classic players are the worst.
