No he did not. Or at least any civilians who evacuated were part of his master plan. If any civilian was capture they would end up dead. Hell, you can go to Siege of Ogrimmar right now to see Garrosh’s troops using captured civilians are target practice/having parents fight in the slim chance they kids wont get killed by Garrosh.
Lets not forget Garrosh attacked the blue dragons. A neutral party at that point. The reason everyone is up in arms about what Garrosh did was because at that point in time no one was itching for war except for him.
Lastly, we know Revendreth is the place where warmongers go to.
No one, not even Jaina has ever said Theramore was neutral. That was never the reason people were pissed off at Garrosh. At that point in time the faction war was effectively over/both sides were in an armistice.
All of which can be directly blamed on Garrosh. If he wasnt attacking the night elves. The Alliance would not have had to come to their aid/force the Horde to split up and defend their rear.
She imprisoned them(those that didnt resist anyway). She didnt murder the king. It was war, and the Zandalari attacked Kul Tiras first!(you can see it in one of the pre-Zandalari raid quests).
yeah and we see the Alliance butcher civilians at Taurajo, but because Baine says in a book “nuh uh” we’re supposed to believe that. We see Jaina just absolutely massacre civilians in the purge of dalaran scenario, but because someoen on twitter says “no she’s a nice girl, she’d never do that,” we have to ignore what we actually see.
So, in the interest of that consistency, a book tells us that thanks to Baine getting a message to Theramore, civilians are evacuated before the Horde blockades. it also happened that during the scenario at the end of Cata, there were no civilians or their remains in the city, just military personnel and their commanders.
I dunno where Garrosh got those people, but it’s not likely to have been Theramore.
Theramore had been aggressing against the Horde for years prior to Cataclysm. During cataclysm, it still claimed to be neutral… while basing Alliance invasions of the barrens, while itself invading Durotar, running weapons to the Grimtotem and Quillboar alike… you know, totally neutral stuff.
meanwhile, Rachet and Gadgetzan - neutral cities in kalimdor that actually are neutral - get diplomatic overtures.
Maybe Theramore should have actually held up its claimed neutrality? Instead it acted as a forward base for the Alliance, and learned why that’s a really stupid idea when you’re just a tower and two docks in enemy territory.
What? The only one the Alliance kill are the warriors. They tried to let the civilians escape but didnt know the route the allowed them to escape to lead to quillboars.
Jaina was bugged. She was suppose to teleport the blood elves that attacked her. Pretty sure it is fixed now but I dont feel like grinding the rep again to check.
They are literally marked Theramore citizens. Not every citizen was able to escape. Particularly those in the countryside.
Priorto catacylsm the Horde has been attacking Theramore as well. We see Forsaken nominally working with the Grimtotems to attack Theramore.
Also, THERAMORE HAS NEVER CLAIMED NEUTRALITY. Jaina and Theramore have always been Alliance. At best it had a non aggression pact with Ogrimmar and that was superseeded by its own commitment to the Defense of Alliance members, particularly the night elves.
Again, if Garrosh did not attack the night elves, Theramore would not have attacked the barrens.
You know who else is comfortable about sharing? Sylvanas. With her feelings. After, through trial and tribulation, she finally learns to be vulnerable and opens her heart to love. And Mirror Image spells, hey-o.
Same. I’m of the opinion that a couple troll threads here or there can be healthy for the SF ecosystem. Keeps us on our toes. If we just went back-and-forth writing dissertations at each other all the time, we might make the grave mistake of taking the lore seriously.
I was referring to my treasure trove of f/f Sylvanas fanfic, mostly Sylvanas/Jaina, but you seem eager to talk about your Manduin/Sylvanas fic.
You know what? Lay it on me. I don’t see a lot of Anduin/Sylvanas fic, but I can see how that kind of relationship could be appealing. I think any time two rulers have a tense rivalry, ESPECIALLY if one ruler is dark and broody and the other is orderly and righteous, that’s grounds for a juicy combo.
My fave is still Jaina/Sylvanas though. There’s an amazing number of arranged marriage AUs for that pairing, you’d be surprised. Great Beauty and the Beast vibes.
This is just like when Hank Hill was tricked into pitying Sylvanas despite her terrorizing the town of Arlen for so long, except this time I don’t have Peggy to save me. :,(
