Yeah, I hate how blizzard keeps forcing us to play. I remember how I was just walking through Best Buy and blizzard forced me to buy og wow. Then they forced me to pay $15 every month for 2 years. Then BC was released and blizzard forced me to buy that too. Blizzard forced me to buy every expansion including BfA. But about 4 months into BfA blizzard suddenly stopped forcing me to pay for a subscription. So I quit. It was such a relief to not be forced to play. I thought I was free but then Classic was released and blizzard forced me to play wow once again. Blizzard is so evil the way they force people to play their game.

For someone thats brand new to wow, sod was my first experience, whats the difference between wotlk and cataclysm?
Not much. They feel pretty much the same. Cata is just wotlk with extra stuff like rbgs, transmog, goblins, etc.
The most noticeable difference I’d say is that cata dungeons and raids are waaaaay more difficult. Also the changes to Azeroth but those changes are positive imo.

Its not too late you still have plenty of time to level and do some of wraths end game as long as youre patient and look for a friendly guild. Theres very little difference between wrath and cata so if you like what content feels like in wrath it will be similar moving forward just with better heroic dungeons

If you are currently not having fun in sod phase2 did you like sod phase1?
I did, p2 seems so bland and dull, so im just biding time and seeing what comes with the later phases. Everything is just so insanely unbalanced.

I mean I think the effort per reward for gnomer is more annoying on the last two bosses. I mean bfd is alot like raiding in tbc, while gnomer last two bosses are tedious which makes finding a group annoying. The 20man p3 raids will help because there is more room for support classes, but honestly if you do not like gnomer you prob won’t like cata but you might want to level a toon for mop/legion. Once you get 55 you can also get a free dk.
But people are buying there time as p3 loot will prob be on par with upper level mc/zg stuff so prob pre-raids bis. And gnomer will prob be fun at level 50.

It launched in September 2022, so you’re starting a little late, but I’d suspect that with some effort, you could get everything done, including achievements for mounts, Shadowmourne, etc. that you’d like to do before Cata, if you want.

Sure it is.
You can still experience Wrath world and balancing around specs, before some reworks in Cataclysm.
Cataclysm is right around the corner. So while you might not really get to see Lich King, you can still some other entry level content. Just depends on what you want.
There is plenty of Ctaclysm content on Youtube.
I’d suggest picking out your main for Cataclysm now.
Start leveling it.
Get your professions figured out.
When prepatch hits, you want already be 80, or very close to it.
During prepatch you’d want to get yourself geared up and be ready for Cataclysm. Find a guild.
This way, you will be on somewhat even playing field with everyone else.
being full Wrathful (pvp) gear is not that far behind of others being full BIS. You will still pump in dungeons alongside everyone else.
Cataclysm is awesome imho. And really most people are going to play it. It’s not going be DOA of any sorts. People are quitting Wrath now and swapping to SoD until Cataclysm comes out.

Yes you can very much enjoy WotLK still, there are good amount of catch up mechanics too, and still enough time to do thing before cata, don’t let the naysayers turn you away from cata either, its just a wrath 2.0

there is a lvl 70 boost from blizzard, and 70-80 from in game boosters
