So I purchased my subscription only a couple of days ago and because within the last 24 hours I turned off renewing the subscription I will miss out on the mount unless I drop another $77. I don’t understand, why can’t I refund my 6 months and buy it again with this deal? Why am I being treated less than others? I payed like they did, I just didn’t want to be accidently charged again 6 months down the line. I haven’t even hit the 6 months I just added as I had game time remaining. This makes me want to quit.
You should be able to add a subscription to your account, but it wouldn’t charge you until the end of the current subscription. It may ping the account it’s attached to, but it shouldn’t bill unless you don’t cancel in 6-months from now.
Unless I’m completely misremembering things. I’ll admit, I’ve been a recurring 6-month sub for a while, so it’s been a bit since I’ve dealt with it.
Unfortunately that won’t work with these promotions. The charge is added immediately and 6 additional months of game time are added.
You’re welcome to put in a ticket to ask, but unfortunately game time is typically considered a final transaction and non-refundable.
As for the promotion, if you had left the subscription on, you would indeed have qualified. But since you cancelled it, you wouldn’t have met the requirements.

You can’t do so through the automated system, Rexwarrior, but our staff should be able to look into your request. A couple of notes. A single ticket is sufficient, there isn’t a need for 4 of them.
Also, outside of the specific bundle purchase offered through the shop, a subscription only charges once all game time on the account has expired. It won’t otherwise be accidentally billed.

I’m in the same fix. I canceled the renewal but it doesn’t end until May. I put in a ticket and asked if they could change my sub to active so I don’t have to pay for another 6 months right now. I’ll keep you informed of what happens.
Note: If you select the bundle, it will charge immediately (There should be a warning during the process).
A normal subscription though, only charges once all game time has expired.
But if I have a 6 month subscription that continues through the starting date, being February 12th, I should receive the mount, without needing to purchase it through the specified bundle.
Edit: Wait nevermind, the website doesn’t allow you to buy 6 months without the mount package. I am screwed over once again. Awesome.
As I understand it, the subscription must be active, so if you canceled, no, I don’t believe you’ll receive the mount.

If you do end up needing to purchase the mount, it is available separately, no other purchase is necessary.
How is that fair? My boyfriend got it and I did not, we both subbed at the same time, but I cancelled the automatic billing because I see no reason to let it run since I had literally just gotten 6 months.
I still have the time I purchased, it was gotten through a 6 month subscription not even 3 months ago, I was supposed to be eligible.
This is why. You need for it to be active at the time.
However, as instructed above, wait on your ticket. If you cancelled very recently, they may be able to make an exception for you.

It IS active for another 3 months, it’s already paid for, it’s just not set to automatically charge my credit card so I don’t get charged when I am not playing or if I forget.
Now I have to pay for another 6 months to get this thing even though I am not even sure I’ll even exist on the next 9 months?
Why do I have to trust Blizzard with my credit card so they can charge me anytime to be eligible for something like this? Can’t you people see how wrong this is?
It’s already stupid enough that game time and pre-paid cards aren’t eligible, THEY’RE MORE EXPENSIVE and yet are worth less, but now they’re going to deny even to subscription? It’s ridiculous.

You don’t have an active subscription. You have a cancelled subscription with 3 months of time left on it. Your boyfriend got the mount because he met the criteria, by not cancelling the recurring sub.
At this point, all you can do is submit a ticket and ask a rep to look at it, but currently you don’t meet the criteria for the promotion.
They’re not going to change how this promotion works because you felt jaded by not having the auto-repayment active. It’s fair as you can buy the mount itself in the store.

Well for one, as a US company, we have to abide by specific laws in place that govern how we handle your card and how we charge you. I’m not sure why you’d think we’d charge you randomly, we’ve been in business for decades.
To be clear, we don’t charge you “anytime” Meezah, we charge you at very specific intervals that you determine by what subscription option you select. If you set up a 6 month subscription, we charge you every 6 months, unless you otherwise have game time on the account that you may have acquired from other sources (i.e. Game Time Codes, WoW Token, Recruit a Friend rewards).
Customer Support doesn’t determine the criteria here. Anyone who feels that the promotion should be changed will want to submit their feedback either by posting in the General Discussion forum or submitting their suggestion through the in-game interface option found under the Main menu under the Support page.
