instant gratification is more enticing than delayed for most people. Even though delayed often provides more value.
Although if $15 is make or break, I’d reconsider playing wow at all.

Yeah I don’t understand why eye drops have to cost that much. It’s crazy!
I happen to agree with you on that. Ear drops too.
A Super Bowl ring is just a bit of metal shaped into a ring. That’s why the analogy holds up; it’s not some rare precious metal that only a small amount exists; they have meaning because of what they represent. They are “trophies”, their value comes from the fact they are limited to that timeframe.
The Challenge Mode sets are iconic largely because they are limited, same if the Tier 3 sets.
No, those of us who were there during that time do not all universally think that we are getting the middle finger now because of the Charger being on the TP’s. Look at my achievement date for proof of me having been there.
As someone who got the original with the free copy of D3 (that I’ve never bothered to install or try even once), I have 0 problems with it being on the Trading Post. If you have a problem with something, that’s fine, and I respect your opinion. But no, not all of us who were there have a problem with it. Now others can enjoy what I have already enjoyed for the last however many Years.
btw, I have never, ever, seen anyone walk by someone peacocking in front of the cathedral on their new mount or with their special raid sword of destiny and said "Oh wow, what an elite player. At most, at most, it’s “Oh neat, anyway what was I doing? Oh yeah, bye.” Most of us laugh at the Epene culture.
