Ill say this, none of the streamers that have been named in here have been on twitch much since it all went down. So they are either down playing it or were banned.
It’s an extra round of loot per lockout.
I’m not frothing at the mouth about it or anything, or accusing Esfand of exploiting (like some people are, and like you seem to be assuming I am). I simply think Blizzard made the wrong call about the loot.
Though, not many like it…
…I’m going to have to agree with this.
The last thing Blizzard needs is bad press from popular streamers.
So Blizzard is going to let them get away with stuff “normal” players are getting banned for because it could give them “bad press”.
Seriously? Absolutely unacceptable.
Blizzard drove players into the hands and power of streamers with their inability to listen to feedback and making constant changes no one asked for.
This is a good and bad thing, depending on the streamer obviously.
It’s like your friend you allow to cut corners, or the family member you give the unearned promotion to.
It’s not a shock to me.
You clearly didn’t read the post provided.
Probably because the most popular Twitch games don’t require a game purchase. LOL
There’s a reddit post from someone who (may have) received one.
The clip ends right before he says “I’m not going to exploit it” and he doesn’t, once again a clip taken out of context
its a bad thing because all streamers are just idiot panhandlers.
Esfan said this morning that if you feel this way, then you obviously don’t understand Classic.
Ah, I see. I agree as well… and it’s likely they err’d on the side of leniency because he was streaming. Or maybe because there was;t much they could do to stop it until they completely understood what was going on.
I hope they go back and remove the loot from the second runs of the bosses.
As a streamer myself, I can assure you that the streamers that I am close to, including ones named in this thread, care deeply about having these bugs removed. I for one would like to see any streamer who knowingly abused this bug over and over slapped with a very long ban, and I know many other streamers feel exactly the same way.
As far as the Esfand situation, anyone who has accused them of deliberately abusing this bug has no idea what they’re talking about. Go watch the VOD, I watched it live. As soon as they saw that the instance had been reset they discussed it among themselves and several times suggested to everyone in the raid to ALL put in a ticket, which many of them did. There is even moments where Esfand says on stream that a GM contacted him and he was chatting with him in game chat. Up until this point they had not continued to clear any more mobs or bosses. They didn’t know why the instance had been reset, but it was very clear that Esfand wanted to find out what was going on and to not abuse what had happened.
The GM then gave the raid permission to continue.
Blaming these bugs abuse on streamers is just idiotic. It’s now pretty clear that this bug has been around for a long time, and had it not been for several streamers reporting this bug, many of them while live, this bug could possibly have continued on for a long time without Blizzards knowledge.
Did some abuse it? Perhaps, but if you think that the majority of streamers want to see these sort of bugs in game, you certainly have no idea of what our position in the matter is and are just talking out of your behind (because the other word isn’t allowed). The case of Esfand is a perfect example of the fact that BECAUSE he was streaming this, recognized it as a bug, reported it as he should have, that Blizzard found out about it much sooner.
It has also become very clear that this exploit was being used for a long time before streamers found out about it. It was only at that point that it became VERY public and Blizzard was able to take quick action to correct it. You could argue that if it wasn’t for the sudden publicity given particularly with people like Esfand, this could have gone on for much much longer.
Business as usual for America. Connected people get off scot free or with a slap on the wrist. Everyone else faces the full force of the law.
If you’re a valid streamer, why are you posting on a level 60 retail toon with a 3 post count?
My 60 druid was my main in Retail vanilla and I generally don’t frequent these forums as I had not been interested in retail for many expansions.
I didn’t realize that to be a streamer you needed to have a high post count on these forums.
If it make it easier on you, I’ll gladly switch my icon to my Classic Warlock. I thought I had a few weeks ago, but it appears to have not saved. Actually, let me do that now.
Its so true.

So which streamers were banned?
None, right?
Why do streamers trigger people on the forums so much?
Remember to overreact and act like a five year old screaming about everything. Those are the most popular streamers. Thqt and if you are a girl…well low cut tops wouldnt hurt.
