I just realized, that with this thread’s entire discussion…
…We’re literally holding a “simposium.”
We’ve all simped at least once in our lives.
thats totally me
That seems like quite a leap in logic.
I have been a fan of Sylvanas since W3. I’m giving my support to her because I am worried with what Blizzards terrible writing is going to do to her. I understand you wanting to get defensive about people calling you a “simp”, but matter of fact is people perceive other people the way they want to and love exploiting it to get a negative response from you. You can’t control other people’s minds, but you can be fully in control with how you perceive yourself. “you’re a simp!”, sure, but I’m gonna talk about why I’m upset because it makes feel better if others listen to me.
I want to see Sylvanas in a place where I can return to her whenever the story beats allow it. If Blizzard does an Illidan on her, locks her in a jail with the jailor or makes her the new ruler of the maw, I’m going to be upset about it! Best ending for me is to see her returned to the forsaken, probably co-ruling with dumb Calia. Calia can be all priest nonsense, let me have my leader who gets stuff done in a grittier way.
Now that I read it again, it might be poorly worded, but anyway, I know this lady that is really manipulative and cruel towards her kids, But still wonders why her relationship with them is so bad. Her husband passively agrees with everything she says, while disagreeing in secret because he “doesn’t want to argue with her”. So he feeds her simp-pathy and validation, and things get worse, when if he would just speak his mind and tell her she is being crazy, she might actually do some introspection and fix herself.
The same goes for the workplace, Simpus-manageris will tell his victim that she is doing such a great job, when she really is garbage and pissing off all the other employees, until half of them quit, the other half just hate their lives, and the business eventually goes to crap.
Simpus-friendis is good when their friend is sad, but will not tell them when they are doing reckless and stupid things that lead to their sadness so that they can continue to feed their friend simp-athy.
Really mysogynists and Simps are a lot alike. You could almost say that since Simps lie to females so much, they are mysogynists.
Thank you for this thread it’s very entertaining
And Lilian isn’t a fully Original creation either.

I was never fan of forsaken but I pity their fans. They literally have close to nothing left and a very bad prospects for the future.
Ouch.
Ok I can’t, its just driving me nuts! I have help you guys translate that word: Machist
It comes from the Hispanic word: “Machista”
I believe it should correctly be translate to, (taking in consideration of the use here):
“Male chauvinist” or as more commonly in English specially in the internet: "a Sexist"
There, if you see it again you know now what they are probably calling you now.
Ok, Ill keep my stroll on the forums now… Apologies I just had to put it out there, now keep it civil you guys!
The characters have similar names, but I think their stories aren’t even close to similar. And the writers came out and said that Lillian Voss was named after a real person.
I think the stories are similar in a way, they might not be identical but the link is clearly there.
The same is with John Keeshan, imagine annoyance that all humans had left was Rambo mockup.
Yeah I believe them when they said the similar names are incidental. There’s a lot of parallel thinking when you’re trying to come up with fantasy BS names.
Like my female orc rogue is named Mordracca. I did not know that there was already a Drakka in WoW when I came up with that name, much less that she’d also wind up being a Rogue later.
I’d named an Orc Warlock Mordrac at some point and just went with a more feminine version of it.
Mordracca is still a different name.
It’s as if you’d came up name Tyrandie Whisperflint.
Btw, there is another Draaka in game - you can meet her in Splintertree post in Ashenvale.

they literally added just one ‘a’ xD.
Maybe it’s like the Mary of the Orc world.
This thread is a hoot.
Similar how? Aside from having similar names and both being women what else to they have in common? Lillian was a tyke bomb raised by fanatics who was killed and turned into the very thing she hated against her will. Liliana was a girl born to a rich family whose own arrogance has been biting her in the backside for pretty much her entire life.
- raised “under thumb” by her father.
- going through transformation to get a new identity
- purple magic visuals
- necromantic affinity (well Lillian was turned into undead and was fighting against necromancers just to end using necromancy to get new members)
- she turned someone she knew into zombie (And we had 2 people in Kul’Tiras that wentt through this process)
The story isn’t identical, but there are some similar vibes.
Those are fairly broad tropes and ultimately superficial to their stories. The core of their stories go in opposite directions. Lilian’s tragedy is she never really had a choice in her life. She was indoctrinated into the Scarlet Crusade early on and it controlled her life until she died and was forced into undeath. Liliana’s tragedy is she has a choice but she keeps making bad ones and lacks the ability to realise that she is her own worst enemy.
What does OP have against Johnny Bravo?
