Numerous polls on dual spec with links have been posted numerous times by Delimicus. But we’re all supposed to repost them over and over again because you can’t bother to read.
I havent. Not once.
Not the point at all. Just calling out hypocrisy is all.
Not paying attention to the lfg channel or a liar? No way to know for sure but I have my guess.
Ah yes, Zealous-arcanite-reaper, I totally believe you.
I have friends in guilds.
I have a guild.
We all have all the gear and badges building up.
EDIT: BTW I want Dual Spec, but lets not make claims that dont stand up. If you have played the game appropriately, you can get groups.
If I can’t find a tank for one dungeon, i’ll go another.
There are some dungeons that are hard to find a tank for (AC…), but those are not the only ones in the game.
I have a guild too. It has enough tanks and fortunately for me not enough healers. I get as many dungeon runs as I want on Fey. Though the lack of healers will hurt us in the long run. The last guild I was in didn’t have enough tanks. Very nice people but I had to quit to find a guild with more tanks so I could pug less. It’s nice when you can find a guild with enough tanks and healers but due to the tank and healer shortage not all guilds can. Even if you’re in a guild dps sometimes has to pug to get things done. It doesn’t matter how “appropriately” you play. There’s a tank and healer shortage on many servers
It absolutely does. If you have friends across multiple guilds, you will not have ‘multi-hour’ waits for Tanks or Heals. It simply doesnt happen to me.
Those people play retail
Most people don’t have a reason to do heroics to begin with at this point, especially tanks who have literally no one to compete with on loot drops.
I do it just for the daily gold, and because it’s fun, or to help someone. But I have a ton of badges doing nothing. All rep besides keepers of time is at 999/1000. At no point was it a terrible struggle to get a tank though. Sometimes I would stop looking after 15 minutes of it, but at most this has happened like 3-4 times since launch.
You want dual spec. Then you’ll want automated group finder. Then you’ll keep wanting the features that made the game more accessible and enjoyable. Then you’ll be playing the game y’all were knocking the whole time. Retail
And you call this math.
You realize there are mathematics that go into making an accurate poll right? Not just clicking yes or no? And I doubt any of this happened. It was probably just posted somewhere and people clicked yes or no. No demographics whatsoever. No background on anyone who’s entering the poll. No solid security measures in place to ensure there aren’t double votes.
It’s not like every single player playing the game voted on it. It means nothing. I would assume that the bulk of people who would go out of their way to vote on something like this are the ones who would like dual spec in the game. I sure as hell didn’t vote on it. I don’t know about it, and I don’t want dual spec in TBC.
It’s called a “sample size”, since ya know, it’s extremely difficult to get every player to vote on anything.
Right so what math was applied to take the data from the sample size and come up with reasonable answers?
None? I’m sure.
No one used confidence levels or lower / upper limits to actually formulate any data. It’s a yes or no poll and that’s it? Then it’s absolutely useless
So there’s actually no math, despite your topic choice
Please don’t call a percentage math. That’s not how math works in polls that are actually useful
A sample size of cherry picked voters that follow your content and are like-minded.
Do either of you have any evidence or is this simply wild conspiracy theories?
I don’t have to. I can look at it and know the data is useless because nothing went into it other than “hey say yes or no to this and we will decide if it means that the majority of players want dual spec”
Please educate yourself on what makes a good poll.
Here is a start:
no more than you do.
But if you sum up all the likes for posts that don’t want dual spec on this forum alone and compare it to the likes for post pro dual spec, you’ll quickly see that your math doesn’t add up.
If you are going to post a thread saying you are supplying math like the op did, you absolutely need to. So yes.
The op is nothing more than a regurgitated opinion as written.
If the op is unwilling or unable to repost what Delimicus has posted, then the op should shut up and let Delimicus post since his posts actually provide proof.
Strange, I asked for evidence of poll manipulation, and you link to a stats class lesson? You could just tell me.
This forum board is not the majority of players, silly.
This is probably more honest responses imo
Correct…
neither is your assumption that 60% want dual spec a poll of all players.
You have just as little evidence es we have.
And in the end, it’s besides the point.
The point is, TBC didn’t have dual spec, therefore, TBCC shouldn’t have either.
And speaking of #nochanges… In the good old days blizzard would have already put a stop to all those discussions with a blue post saying: “Ok, we are working on it, it will be implemented in the next expansion since we cannot implement it in TBC due to it not being designed for it”, which is exactly what they did back then.
