Sorry, I don’t trust designing a game based upon polls of modern gamers. They have proven to me that they will crap their own bed and ruin their own game experience if given the opportunity.
All one has to do is look at retail WoW to see the result. Most of the features in retail WoW are there because players wanted them, and the result is a bad game, IMO. Certainly a game that is very, very different from vanilla and TBC.
I can just as easily call it an “unreasonable change”. Just because you say something is a “reasonable QoL change” only, doesn’t make it so. There’s obviously debate on whether it’s reasonable or even just a QoL change. You don’t just have carte blanche to define the terms of the debate lol
People are raid logging, not because of a lack of dual spec, but because of a lack of new content. Your math is dumb and pulled out of nowhere. If you can’t enjoy TBC classic due to lack of dual spec, I suggest retail or quitting.

There was a massive poll back in a day with over 10,000 replies to it, where the majority of folks have agreed that certain changes are for the best.
It’s seems clear you’re wrong about the player base TBC was targeted at. The devs made it clear that no changes wasn’t a part of BC. They announced changes before the game was even released. They specifically said more changes are coming. They asked for feedback from the player base about what changes they wanted. That’s the targeted player base. If you’re not in that group the game isn’t targeted at you.

In about a week I’ll start raiding and I’ll change my mostly holy spec into a full holy spec. Since the only thing fun to do with a full holy spec is raid I’ll start raid logging on this alt. If there was dual spec I’d pvp or farm instead of raid logging
there is no math. the DS was not even a thing in the tbc. but there is math in sites of how the sub population had droped 80% because of all the added changes to bcc that a handfull of people wanted.
i think they should add duel spec. kill of another 10% (another step closers to retail) then will be forced to open fresh NO change servers. to bring the subs back… merge all these low population retail bcc beta servers. and give what the players wanted No change fresh servers

There was always a tank shortage even in Vanilla Classic, you just didn’t notice because you didn’t need to do dungeons.
There isn’t a healer shortage I don’t know why you’re saying there is.
I don’t want duel spec, I wouldn’t care if they added it and sure I’d use it but that doesn’t mean i want it. The only people that’d truely want duel spec are the PvP community so that they wouldn’t have to respec for raid and PvP each week and even then I’m sure that there’d be people that wouldn’t want it.
Look, I would like dual spec as well, but I am confused as to where this supposed math is. Have any proof on the 60-80% number? I have seen none. Have any proof that dual spec helps healer / tank shortage? It didn’t help in retail where there remains a tank / healer shortage, so I am confused what makes you think it will help here?
I have a statistics that says Shadowlands is the best expansion to date.
