It seems to me, that if you’re not a tank, you shouldn’t be pulling regardless of where you are or what difficulty whatever you’re doing is on. I abhor this, especially when it’s by some clothie that will get one shot and then blame their death on me, of course laced with a excessive profanity. Just happened to me in a delve, I really don’t understand this mindset.

yeah, sometimes dps will decide to pull because they think the tank isn’t going fast enough for their shiny button abilities.
to those guys I say, just play tank !!! you get to be the captain of your own ship

What if its a M+ and I have my Misdirect set to my Focus, and I set the tank to be focus right off the bat, and I help grab mobs, knowing what the healer and tank can take?
Should I not be doing that, in, for example, the start to Ara Kara?
BTW The Fantastic Four movie is really, really good.

Well, delves are completely different content because they are not designed with a tank requirement. So at least in that case, it is understandable.
I mean, you can literally have a DPS group and clear a delve. Or you can solo delves as DPS.
The point being that your statement is not as valid in delves as it is in M+ or raids.
With misdirection I agree, but I really didn’t expect the movie reference.

If we aren’t in an M+ you need to step up your pace or DPS/Heals will pull… I will at least.

Ive been slowly watching it over the past few hours, after I got done with watching S3 of Foundation, which is also a really great show.
No, my buddy tank main who I run m+ with loves when hunters do this as it saves him charges on death grip. the only thing you have to be mindful of is if you’re pulling & misdirecting trash the tank doesn’t want to pull. but usually tanks like when you do this, at least in my experience

Yea I generally only do it on routes I know for sure, like the gathering of the mobs at the start of Ara.
Do rogues still have tricks of the trade? if so they should use it more

Yeah, my poor blood DK is so slow despite enchants and such. People just swoosh ahead of me and I have to grab aggro back hoping they don’t die before I get there. Druid tank seems faster, though.

Go faster, I never have this problem on my tanks, even dk.
If you’re the holdup then you can’t get mad for others trying to keep things moving, especially if they survive it.
I usually just let the dps face tank the mobs if it becomes a habit. Damn the key, you’re gonna learn today son.

if you want to be in charge of the pace of pulling then you should be tanking. otherwise, press your shiny light up buttons and stop complaining

I don’t need the shield icon to tank. If someone with the proper toolkit is taking longer to get into the fight than my clothies then boy are they worthless.

Were you playing with a Hunter?
Dps bring mobs to me → 
Dps (melee) pull and plant as if they were the tank → 
I don’t mind someone snagging or butt pulling extra and adding it to the meat grinder. I absolutely hate it when some one is playing “squishy tank” and is pulling away from the group, forcing the healer and I to split our attention or run around leaving the entire mob stack spread out.
