Yeah I can see your point but I have seen a lot of dps who either a) clearly butt pull and then claim it was because the tank was going too slow or b) pull the wrong trash because they don’t like the tank’s pace and end up getting one shot anyway
So let them tank it and die. If you didn’t plan on pulling it then it ain’t your problem. If they can tank it without getting killed then them pulling for you isn’t a problem. If they pull it and die then it’s their problem since they’re bricking the key (or getting kicked out if it’s newbie content).
The issue fixes itself when you start doing things that are remotely challenging.

If they die then they’re in the wrong no matter what excuse they cook up.
When I’m pulling as a non-tank it’s almost always because I’m the healer, and am prepared to keep up any dps who join in and instantly rip aggro off me. Tanks are the last ones who ever need to worry about overpulling and dying, everyone else will be dead 10 times over before they go down.

Doesn’t happen to me too often (usually I’m the one pulling too much and wiping), but it’s annoying when it happens and is fumbled.
If anyone is going to take charge, don’t mess it up.

Kill stuff faster instead of running back with more mobs for the tank to kill. But not helping kill stuff.
How do I do that? Just run with half dead mobs? I even got speed on his boots. I’m using MDT because I am forgetful on routes.
As a tank, I let them pull it and tank it since I always run with friends and I have the healer in discord chatting with me lol. So I specifically say “don’t bother healing them until they kite it to me”. If they wanna take so bad, they can prove it. I’m not in a rush. That’s why I play with friends. Sometimes they pull it off sometimes they don’t and then they can resurrect and run back because we are not stopping for them. 
“You pull it, you tank it” what’s more? If someone deliberately pulls that’s not a tank, I won’t heal them.
Shouldn’t but given how late we are in the expansion fully expected.
This happens every expansion so I don’t know why anyone is surprised
I would say let them tank it.
If they’re pulling it then obviously they think they can handle it so let them handle it. If they can’t and they die then that’s on them

This is NEVER gonna happen. There will always be people pulling cause your not pulling fast enough or they know for the most part the mobs are easily melted. Also people are not the patient kind to just stand there while the tank figures out the path to take or if your new Goddess halp you. HAHA
Why would you do delves with randoms?
Either you should do it solo or with friends.
No need to deal with randoms in that content. That is its main perk compared to m+.
Regarding pulls in dungeons. In norm/hc it is fine if the tank is slow or if they need help AND the puller is overgeared enough to handle whatever may happen.

DPS pulling a melee mob and kiting it towards/through me so I can easily pick it up? = Good gameplay. Genuinely makes my life easier if I don’t have to spend a GCD picking up mobs.
DPS pulling a mob and letting it just beat the healer to death, or pulling a caster and not interrupting it? Jail. Ten thousand years jail for DPS.

When a dps starts to do this, I just walk past the mobs onto the next pack and let them tank it.
You pull it, you tank it. I know this is also punishing the healer, but they should also ignore them, move with the tank, and let that dps die.

Some days when the ranged dps let a caster free cast in the distance I wish I was a prot pally or Dk.
But not for long, because I’d miss monk.
Yeah but then you play Prot Paladin and you start missing the smoothness of Brewmaster damage and never having to be scared of spike damage.
The grass is always greener in a relatively well balanced tank meta.

I’m a BDK enjoyer - speed belt enchant (engineering goes a long way) I almost always use it at the start of Priory ahead of the fat pull at the start.
The best is when they get one shotted, then yell at me for not rezzing them. Oh well, enjoy the run back!
I don’t play high-end, but in 14 it’s considered free mitigation so I’m totally cool with people pulling as long as there’s a way to get it back to me as the tank. If you run away from me and die that’s on you.
