I hear your point though and think there is a lot of truth to it. The people I’ve seen doing those 15-15 carries have like 480+ item level, so their gear is likely doing some of the work.
How are they ruining the game for you?
They want the game to be flexible, which, wouldn’t affect at all how you play.
Why are you so focused on people who don’t affect anything you do? It looks like you’ve created your own grudge because you’re trying to avoid whatever is going on in your life. I am surprised you’ve lasted as long as you have on the forums
Because that is not how you play the game even according to Ion.
YOU ARE NOT MEANT TO BE OPTIMAL AT EVERYTHING, I am not sure how hard that is for some people to understand.
In an RPG you gravitate towards a specialization, build and stick to it, with advantages and disadvantages and then it is up to the group to utilize this. Again Ion said something extremely similar.
I would guess Ion would call it degenerate gameplay when a group of 5 hunters go to X raid boss and then they all change their build to fit the boss for maximum performance, plus the content isnt balanced around you doing that either so you literally easymode it instead of playing on the right level of challenge.
Seems like you are completely out of touch just like Preach and his chat when Ion destroyed him by pointing out there’s something wrong when the only difference between 3 hunters is how fast they press their buttons.
Example, I ll be playing necrolord Spriest, their ability is AoE focused, that means I ll be optimal for m+ but sub optimal for pvp and any long single target fight from tyrannical m+ to many raid bosses.
But I will still be doing keys during tyrannical as well as raid as well as casual pvp, will I be sub optimal for some single target bosses like shadhar? Yes but i ll perform better at hivemind, but that is how you are supposed to play the game.
They’re not. He wants to ruin their game by supporting Blizzard’s most inane decisions. Why? Who knows, Ralph seems to just hate it when other people play the game the “wrong” way.
Sorry, but, both you and Ion are wrong in principle and in logic. Fighting games were originally never meant to be competitive, but they became competitive.
Chess wasn’t meant to be so competitive. it became that competitive.
Just because it isn’t what you intend, doesn’t mean its bad for the game.
Asking for the game to be flexible is good for everyone.
You trying to force people to play the way you want them to play, because it makes you feel good, is a rather sadistic way to behave. Maybe you should flex control over yourself, rather than trying to flex it on others in such a petulant manner.
I think its the fact he has no control over himself, so he wants to control others.
If truth and doing the right thing upsets some people, it sounds like the problem is with these people.
Ion upset many when he said BLM, he also upset many when he destroyed Preach by pointing out that 3 hunters shouldnt be the same by changing builds for every boss to be optimal and that their only difference was how fast their press their buttons.
People who are wrong get upset when someone points out they are doing things wrong, Ion was in the right both times but they hated him for it.
You have to obviously know what you’re saying annoys and upsets people though; You’ve made several of these threads. At this point you’re repeating a lot of the same stuff, so unless you’re trying purposefully to annoy and upset people I don’t see the point at all.
In which thread OP did I focus on the non skill elements affecting performance therefore pointing out how people who care about skill and epeen contests dont rly fit wow.
There’s multiple arguments to be made, each argument should be separate else it is often ignore and people try to nitpick other stuff.
The wannabe elitists try to pretend as if there’s 0 real opposition to their change of covenants to talents, I am here and many others as well to remind them they are the minority.
They keep talking as if everyone agrees that it will ruin the game and how the people who are against it simply have no idea about the game, but it seems on many threads that I made they are the ones who have little idea about many parts of it, the low skillcap aspect, the community effects aspect or the how the game is balanced aspect.
But in this very thread you’ve very quickly changed the topic from non-skill elements affecting performance to more criticism of people who play at the top end and talking about how this game isn’t designed for those people. Trying to tell someone that a game isn’t designed for them, that they’re playing the game wrong, and criticizing them over and over doesn’t get you or anyone else anywhere, it just upsets people and causes people to dislike you for it.
If you were making non-confrontative and detailed posts explaining why you thought changes like this were good even if people dislike them, then sure, it’d make sense. But you’re not, each thread I’ve seen you make you go right into criticizing others, talking in all caps, and saying the game isn’t designed for those people and they should go play something else.
