Forums were filled with 30-40 year dudes & dudetes crying their baby eyes out for #NoChanges.
So, we got no changes.
Now, live with the consequence of your fellow gamers who were louder than the ones who didn’t support #NoChanges.
Bottom line
No merc mode. (Massive impact)
No barber. (Zero impact)
No AH revamp. (zero impact)
No more transfers. (Massive impact)
No dual spec. (Massive impact)
But if you are to add Merc mode, then add rest of the heavily request features. Or, just like they did with Chronoboon Displacer, add it in 2.4.2/3. But not now.
Frankly there were and are shortcoming in classic and TBCC that just be overcome by being (ahem) more social.
We do need dual spec to allow people to have choice and flexiblility
We do Merc Mode to deal with a faction that has historically avoided BG and Arenas
(P.S: no its not faction ‘imbalance’ that doesnt exist)
If you want reatil so bad go play it, for those of us that actually want to play the game as it was, or as close to it as possible this is what we want, stop trying to change a good thing. No one’s stopping you from returning to a broken boring game that gives you every participation trophy every created, we do not want that so stop trying to change our game that we enjoy
They should NOT add merc mode. Huge queue times is what you get when you roll the popular faction. You own the open world most of the time in wPvP, you reap what you sow. If they add merc mode then they should add faction change microtransactions. No point in even having (2) factions then with merc mode.
I would be down for very limited time paid faction and server change with being prohibited from changing to high pop servers. Maybe make a list of servers you are able to change to being the lower half of each region(US west/east) to choose from.
Also make it so you can have both factions on a PVP realm.
I understand #nochanges for vanilla classic. After all the demand for an official vanilla server over the years and it finally happening , I can understand wanting no changes vanilla. A decent number of the people who wanted classic vanilla didn’t really much like the idea of a tbc or wrath rerelease because they felt that is when the game changed to become more casual friendly.
We got #nochanges vanilla for the most part. So be happy. I don’t view #nochanges applying to tbc or wrath because the players making this demand pretty much just wanted vanilla back.
