#NOCHANGES šŸ’ , Arguments flawed and debunked (SERIOUS)

Don’t even go there… Diablo Immortal – ugh.

Okay point still stands. Can’t compare wow with a mobile game.

This is the only version of this I would support, adding later content within the Classic structure.

If you bring in BC and WotLK as they are, you are already bringing in many things that a lot of people don’t want:

  • Flying
  • LFD
  • Old raid content rendered irrelevant with quest greens
  • Playerbase split and taken out of Azeroth
  • Hunter pet loyalty and training via taming removed
  • Heirlooms

Among others.

If Blizzard is willing to re-work later content into the Classic framework, I think that would be a terrific compromise. Outland as level 40-50 zones, Northrend as 50-60, as a couple of examples. Even Pandaria could work this way. (Do I think Blizzard will do this? No way.)

What I want is a deeper, more immersive world. I care not a whit for speedy leveling, class balance, or convenience. I absolutely don’t want to start down the same path of removing abilities and aspects of the game until we’re left with the bland, homogenous drones sleepwalking to level cap that we see in Retail.

And many of us do not trust that Blizzard has learned from their mistakes, and won’t simply do them again if they give us BC:Classic and so on. This trust has to be earned. We’ll see if they can.

The WoW Classic I was looking forward to was it starting from patch 1.1 so I would have a chance to get the original unarmored epic mounts

it would split the community and leave low pop servers, killing them off on both sides.

I would have no problem with flying being available for those specific zones.

And yes, I was stating what I would like. Same as everybody else.

Player dropoff is inevitable within Classic, whether it’s due to boredom or whatever comes next. I believe there will always be a popular server for Vanilla even after content up to Naxx has been played extensively.

People have no reason to gripe if they make Classic+ on new servers.

This is their chance to make WoW amazing by looking back to see what went wrong and how to keep the spirit of vanilla community alive.

I am eagerly waiting the announcement of Classic+.

Appreciate all the replies.

I can’t believe I have to say this AGAIN…What you and so many others have proposed as to changes to TBC/WoLK to make them stay within the 60 level cap is NOT going to happen. That goes completely against the Classic philosophy. They will be put out AS IS, warts and all, just as Classic was. Layering and the other BS aside, we had a near perfect recreation of Vanilla with Classic. Don’t be a hypocrite and try to change everything about TBC/Wrath that YOU didn’t like. EVERYONE should get the chance to play THEIR favorite expansion, unchanged, and UNTOUCHED just like Classic

Probably the most ignorant post I’ve read on the Classic forums.

Good job!

Am I reading this right?

After a year on these boards we have had Classic players ridiculing people for wanting any retail feature in classic.

Now we have Classic players asking for TBC/Wrath servers to have Classic specific features and their current design (like flying) removed?

Are people seriously this hopeless? It’s got to be bait, no one can be this delusional.

I agree, Classic+ is a better idea than repeating the expansions (as much as i would love to play TBC and Wrath agian)repeating the expansions imo is a bad idea.

For classic+ i got an idea regarding lvl.
Stay at 60, with ā€œparagonsā€, for example.:
NO new talents row like BC had, just tweaks to the talent trees.
The first +exp adds 10 Paragons lvls (not real name) that are earned after u reach lvl 60, you get 1 extra talent point every 2 lvls.
on the 2nd+ xp u add 1 talent row to the tree(more iterations and tweaks if needed) and 10 more paragons lvls (5 more talent points).

I just wouldn’t trust Blizzard to touch anything in Classic, anymore.

ye

on other servers? no. but if you force me into classic+ like some want, yes.

and yet if you look at these forums people are asking for the very same type of changes that ruin community.

I’m one of the people towards the middle. Maybe if you didn’t condescend at the reader in the first paragraph, I’d actually read the rest of your post.

I wouldn’t think they would force Classic into Classic+, but they would have to tread carefully. Where would it end? Classic Burning Crusade? Classic Burning Crusade+? At one point they’ll have to have a roadmap of their plans, I’m sure.

And one thing I’ve found out from the forums, most of the negativity is a vocal minority. I would hope the changes + would have would be a vote from the community. The majority of us love Classic for the rewarding feeling of what we earn, the friends we make along the way.

This if nothing else, and maybe stacking soul shard if it isn’t a thing already.
