#nochange calls them loladins

With Mc that can be practically any set up as long as you have enough healers and tanks.

That’s weird, warriors are the best tanks and melee dps in the game.

Yes, they are hybrids.

Liars here will tell you that only Hardcore no life guilds don’t take Ret pallies. LIE. When your raid dies they will be looking at why they died, and then they will look at the sub par DPS of vanity specs. EVERY guild will do this.

Ironically only Hardcore no life guilds will be able to carry these vanity specs.

This times 3000

The Hybrid Tax always seems to surprise people. If you play a hybrid class, you’ll get shoe-horned into a specific role and won’t get priority on drops. It’s just how it goes. People bring pally’s to raid for the buffs and the strong single-target healing. That’s pretty much it.

I am leveling a paladin and priest atm. My priest will my healer, my paladin will tank, mostly 5 mans. Prot paladins are actually very good in 5 mans, especially the undead ones. Sure, warrior is a better tank, but my goal is not world first naxx kills, so who cares. Having another character who is a more “viable” spec will help you play alts who are more unusual. The big issue for paladins is how just damn good they are as healers, but also have to wear a dress…

How to get a raid spot as Ret…

  1. be a streamer

  2. be in a guild with close friends that are happy to carry you and make jokes

  3. be loved in your guild…
    help guildies with quests
make and give away bags, potions, gear ect for guildmates
always find ways to be helpful

  4. make gold and buy a spot

And where can they do ranged damage or heal too ?

Warriors are a melee only toon, thats very different than being a melee dps + melee tank + healer + spell DPS.

No a warrior isn’t a hybrid.

Why are you creating you’re own definition of what constitutes a hybrid?

A hybrid is more than one thing. A tank and a dps is two things.

Also, Paladins can’t do anything outside of 10 yards without 31 points in holy, and warriors can charge, intercept, and shoot guns.

So because Paladins are equally unable to dps at range effectively, they mustn’t be hybrids either.

Fixed that for ya.

You genuinely think that it’s going to take 40 people with min/max specs and precision efficiency to get Molten Core/BWL/etc. dead?

I’m… concerned for your sanity.

You still ignore that pallys have healing.

Yes theres a difference.

Pallys are hybrids, you have a hybrid tax, get used to it or reroll to a more focused toon class.

Who changed it from lolret to loladins??

This was exactly the experience I had in vanilla. All my 2 handed weapons were second hand, which warriors/hunters did not want. It was a painful experience in vanilla to be a meme if your wanted to main retribution.

I have a lvl 48 ret pally on classic now and I know this is going to be a rerun of 2005-2006 all over again once I start doing BRD & beyond.

I guess instead of having an irrational hate for a spec, they decided to just hate the whole class.

Kinda hard to score a touchdown when you keep running around the field with those goalposts.

Yes, some hybrids can heal. You noticed. :clap:t5:

Refail is that way ----->

Give it a go, it has homogenized classes and lots of other changes similar to those your seeking.

There has been a Ret Paladin in progressive clear groups since vanilla.

The first full Naxx clear had a Ret Paladin.

Of course, the people advocating for min-maxing probably weren’t even there.

I ran zf with a prot pally.

He held threat far better than any other tank I’ve ran with in classic so far.

It’s not that you’re not going to find a guild nice enough to let you raid, it’s just that you will suck, 100% guaranteed. If you’re ok on rolling on gear that could benefit others 10x instead of being useful to your group, then so be it.
