Blizzard PLEASE listen to the community on this. You guys are making so many smart changes to create an awesome TBC experience. But the instant 58 boosting is completely antithetical to “creating the experience”.
Personally I was going to wait until TBC to level my alts because of the nerfed xp. But now the meta is just going to be buying an Argentinian account and instant boosting any alts you want. This is going to completely GUT the old world for players like myself who would prefer to keep all my chars on the same account. 1-58 will be even more dead than it is in classic now with dungeon boosting.
I’ve heard a lot of buzz about making it an XP boost instead of instant levels which I do agree is a lot healthier for the game.
But please please please do not go forward with the instant levels. It’s not the TBC experience, it’s not healthy for the game, and the classic community isn’t stupid. We know exactly what this is - another cash grab.
Find another way to monetize TBC that doesn’t affect gameplay. You could even cash shop the trading card items (mounts, tabards, etc.) and I don’t think most people would care that much. But say no to boosting.

Its just one per account and it can’t be done on Belves or Draenei which i can imagine a lot of people would be levelling. While it is somewhat bad at least is isn’t to the point of unlimited character boosts.

It’s effectively unlimited boosts. Because you can just create a new account and boost again. It’s super P2W

As a member of the community, you do not speak for me. I wish they’d open the boost to the new races and remove the cap. I like leveling but its just an arbitrary grind. Let those who want to skip it skip it. Paid boosts happen constantly in vanilla too but this way it puts a dent on the bots and goldselling that are ruining the economy. Also why do you care so much? If you don’t like boosts dont buy one. Problem solved. Quit trying to dictate others play.

Boosting does nothing to TBC itself, people are going to level Belves and Draenei en masse anyway.

Truth is that this is being done for retail tourists. Its meant to bring non dedicated players in and give them an easy char swap. Especially for the retail zoom zooms who rolled war and will find out quick their dpeen needs a new class.
Why they didnt let you do this with the new races is a mystery to me since that would bring them so much more money.
Anyway doubt anything anyone says will have an effect.

Boosting is completely against the spirit of Classic. If you need more revenue increase the sub cost for access to both Classic and retail. $15 for access to retail, an additional $5 to access both Classic and retail. Anything but a paid level boost…

Pretty much anyone and everyone power levels their way through Classic anymore.
You can scream about it being against the spirit all you want, but it doesn’t really change anything outside of what people are already doing in the game.

No you don’t speak for me. It’s a 1 time boost to 58 lmao. This game is about end game content, the truth is most people don’t like leveling including me. I’ve told my friends who picked up wow that this game doesn’t really start until you’re max level. So pipe down OP you only speak for yourself and some other weird nerds on this forum.

I love the boost plans. I believe the Blizz dev’s made the perfect choice and it doesn’t negatively affect anyone in any way.
